While HISD has stonewalled public information requests for snapshot enrollment data, it did give enrollment info for Jan 31. It paints a grim picture for the future of @HoustonISD.

Miles is destroying our district. The BOM allowed him to spend $870MM without approval or repercussions. They are also allowing him to run schools in a way that parents obviously loathe. houstonlanding.org/hisd-lead…

The BOM holds the purse strings. It is time they tell him NO. NO more NES, allow successful schools to exit NES, NO more cuts to PUA schools, and his performance review must reflect his poor management (aka NO bonus)!

Central division supt Luz Martinez has left a path of destruction. Just like Laura Stout in the West, she “led” through chaos to catastrophic results. @HISDSupe waited too long to realize the level of damage she did. HISD Central is in shambles and needs to rebuild.

Houston ISD Superintendent Mike Miles’ administration greenlit about $870 million in spending over the past 16 months without receiving required school board approval, breaking district policy and frustrating some board members. bit.ly/4gPCSQ8

This is real money! I'm very frustrated by the lack of consequences for Miles in what is an obvious breach of her contract.

🚩Breaking🚩Mike Miles admits that he failed to get board approval for major district purchases. Interesting he speaks in the third person versus taking responsibility. Over the past 18 months teachers and principals haven’t gotten 2nd chances. Why should he? @HISDSupe must go.
Under the State Takeover, Mike Miles conveniently “forgot” to get approval from the Board of Managers for astronomical purchase agreements with dozens of vendors dating back to August 2023. Gift link: houstonchronicle.com/news/ho…

🚩ACTION NEEDED🚩 I’m calling on the @LantripPto to rise up, demand answers and don’t let up until they get a face-to face-meeting with @HISDSupe. He needs to know the damage @HISDCentral is doing to their community. @BuildUpHISD
