Jake Jeronimus is one of Central Virginia’s biggest sleeper prospects. The 6'6" forward from Crozet, Virginia, is entering his senior season at Western Albemarle High School after helping lead the Warriors to the state semifinals last season. With Western Albemarle losing several key scoring contributors this offseason, Jeronimus will likely have the opportunity to step into a larger role as the team’s primary option and showcase his full offensive skill set. Jeronimus has made significant strides in his development each year, both physically and tactically. Originally making his name as a low-post scorer with excellent footwork and touch, he has developed into a versatile forward who can score at all three levels while establishing himself as a defensive leader capable of guarding multiple positions. This summer, competing with Virginia Premier on the Hoop Group circuit, he showcased his all-around game by putting the ball on the floor, creating opportunities for teammates, and attacking favorable matchups to generate offense. He has also developed into an efficient pick-and-pop threat, using his shooting ability to space the floor, stretch opposing defenses, and create additional driving lanes for his teammates. On the glass, Jeronimus is a force on both ends of the floor, consistently creating extra possessions through his physicality, timing, and relentless effort. Defensively, he moves his feet well, stays in front of opposing guards, and can switch across positions without consistently relying on fouls. His combination of strength, size, and toughness also makes him a reliable interior presence who does not shy away from physical matchups and can anchor a defense in the paint. As he steps into a larger leadership role this season, expect Jeronimus to emerge as one of the top players in Central Virginia and a name to watch across the state. With his continued development and expanded offensive responsibilities, college programs should take notice of the versatile two-way forward before his senior season gets underway @jake_jeronimus @CoachStitzel @jwherron10 @_TomKeller @NorfolkKnights @rileyhighfill3
Eli Britt is one of the top point guards in South Carolina. The 5'9" senior is entering his final season at Sumter High School after earning All-Region honors twice and establishing himself as a staple in the starting lineup. Britt continues to improve season after season and has been a consistent standout this summer with Carolina Pressure on the Puma circuit, along with the various camps he has attended. Britt is the type of guard every coach wants in their backcourt. He combines an elite shooting ability with a high-level competitive motor, leadership, and a relentless approach that makes those around him better. Full of grit and hustle, he consistently finds ways to make winning plays on both ends of the floor. One of the best shooters in the state, Britt stretches defenses with his deep three-point range and punishes opponents who lose track of him beyond the arc. He is also effective attacking downhill, creating paint touches, putting pressure on the defense, and finding open teammates. His pull-up midrange jumper adds another dimension to his scoring package, making him a true three-level threat. Defensively, Britt competes from baseline to baseline, using his lateral quickness and agility to stay in front of opposing guards. He is willing to get physical, disrupt opposing ball handlers, and step in to draw charges when needed. When evaluating available guards in South Carolina's senior class, don't let the size fool you. Britt is one of the most complete guards in the state, bringing shooting, playmaking, defensive intensity, and leadership to the table. Keep an eye on him as he looks to make his mark this upcoming season @EliBritt_ @GamecocksBball @coachbjbrown30 @CPBFamily @RobRose_ @JessieTownsend_ @PrepHoopsSC @Swanny1973 @AndrewBaxleySC
Sam Mills is one of the top available centers on the East Coast. The 6'11" big man from Lexington, South Carolina, is entering his senior season at Lexington High School after spending the summer competing on the Adidas 3SSB circuit with Upward Stars and performing at live-period showcases. Mills is a traditional paint presence who continues to develop physically and athletically while adding layers to his game. He has become increasingly effective at finding open space in the dunker spot, giving his guards a reliable target around the basket. On the offensive glass, he is a force, showing excellent instincts to track the ball off the rim and either rise for a putback dunk or gather himself to finish around the basket. Mills has also developed a reliable turnaround hook shot, using his size to create separation from defenders and finish consistently around the rim. While not yet a consistent perimeter shooter, he has flashed promising shooting mechanics for a player of his size, giving him an intriguing area for further development at the next level. His improving playmaking is another positive, as he has shown the ability to deliver accurate passes to teammates from a variety of angles. Defensively, Mills provides a major presence as a rim protector, particularly as a weak-side defender. He shows good awareness both on and off the ball, along with the body control to elevate vertically and contest shots without sacrificing his positioning. His rebounding instincts and ability to alter attempts around the basket make him a valuable interior presence on both ends. After competing against some of the top big men on the Nike and Adidas circuits over the past two summers, Mills has established himself as a proven prospect with the tools to continue developing at the next level. With an experienced Lexington team returning several key contributors, expect Mills to help lead the charge as the Wildcats look to return to the Class 5A state championship game @24SamMills @lexingtonhoops @CoachWells1911 @UStarsse @PrepHoopsSC @AndrewBaxleySC @POBScout
Beau Brannon is a name to know in South Carolina’s 2027 class. The 6’7” forward at Wren High School brings an impressive combination of size, athleticism, physicality, and scoring ability that makes him a difficult matchup. Brannon plays with an aggressive approach around the rim, finishing through contact and throwing down powerful dunks above the defense. He runs the floor well, attacks off cuts, and uses his length and physical frame to create advantages in the paint while consistently competing on the glass. What separates Brannon is his ability to score well beyond the basket. He has a smooth shooting stroke with the confidence to knock down contested threes, mid-range jumpers, and post fadeaways. He can stretch the floor as a forward while also putting the ball on the deck and attacking the rim, giving him multiple ways to create offense. His combination of perimeter skill and interior presence makes him a versatile offensive weapon with the ability to impact the game in several ways. Defensively, Brannon’s size and mobility give him the tools to be effective across multiple matchups, while his physicality and rebounding provide additional value. Sewanee College recently extended an offer to Brannon, and it certainly won’t be the last college program to show interest in the versatile forward as he continues to develop heading into his senior season @BeauBrannon99 @WrenBball @CoachRDJackson @CoachKhalilS @PrepHoopsSC @AndrewBaxleySC @POBScout
Jacob Jenkins is one of the top young wing prospects in Virginia. The 6'4 sophomore recently transferred to Central Virginia powerhouse The Miller School of Albemarle, where he continues to showcase his high upside and advanced skill set. After playing up on the MADE Hoops circuit this summer with Team Loaded Black, Jenkins played a key role as a perimeter scorer and athlete who consistently made plays on both ends of the floor. Jenkins is a true two-way talent with significant room to grow physically, both in height and athleticism. He already plays above the rim in transition and the half court, showcasing his explosive leaping ability. Offensively, he plays with tremendous confidence and never hesitates to take shots from all three levels. His jumper is effortless, featuring great elevation, lower-body lift, and extension. He has proven capable of knocking down shots both off the catch and off the dribble. Jenkins pairs a tight handle with advanced footwork, using his timing, agility, and head fakes to create separation against defenders. When attacking the basket, he uses his length and springiness to stretch around defenders and finish through tight windows. Defensively, he has all the early indicators of a high-level perimeter defender, along with the potential to develop into an effective weakside rim protector. While he is not yet the most physical defender, he makes up for it with intelligent angles, sound timing, and the ability to anticipate his opponents' movements. As Jenkins begins his first season at The Miller School, expect him to continue developing into a more complete prospect at all levels. With his combination of size, shooting ability, athleticism, and two-way potential, Jenkins has all the tools to emerge as one of Virginia's premier young talents @Jacob_prod3 @MSAHoops @Colby_Drake @CoachMeriwether @CoachSBall @jwherron10 @ARosenfeldHoops @NorfolkKnights
Samarian Glenn is a name that needs to be on your radar in South Carolina. The 6'3 junior is a walking bucket with great positional size, a tight handle, and natural scoring ability. After an impressive summer with the Palmetto City Hurricanes, Glenn showed an ability to consistently get paint touches while scoring at all three levels. Around the basket, he is a crafty finisher who can score with either hand and uses great touch to finish from a variety of angles. With the ball in his hands, Glenn plays at his own pace, rarely getting sped up by defenders. He reads the court well and consistently makes the right play. While he is not yet a lethal three-point shooter, his smooth, high release and mechanics project well to the next level. Despite the need for continued development as a shooter, Glenn constantly puts pressure on the defense with the ball in his hands. Defensively, his plus-size wingspan gives him the tools to develop into a high-level perimeter defender across multiple positions. He also provides a consistent presence on the defensive glass and immediately looks to push the ball, get his team into its offense, or create an open shot for a teammate. With his combination of size, ball skills, scoring ability, and defensive potential, expect Glenn to be one of the top players in the Columbia area next season @SGlenn_1 @PchBasketball @Sgortman2 @LarryMcdaniels3 @NickSwisha @PrepHoopsSC @AndrewBaxleySC
Ty Shine is one of South Carolina's most dangerous newcomers heading into the 2026-27 season. The 6'2 combo guard is entering his senior year after announcing his transfer to Fox Creek High School in early August. Shine is a dynamic guard with a college-ready frame and a skillset that translates to every level of college basketball, impacting nearly every aspect of the game. After an outstanding junior season at Harlem High School in Harlem, Georgia, Shine averaged 20.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 50 percent from the field and 37 percent from three. He helped lead Harlem all the way to the GHSA 3A State Championship game while surpassing 2,100 career points, further showcasing his ability to consistently put the ball in the basket. Shine followed that up with another impressive summer, this time competing with 444 Athletics on the Puma Circuit. Throughout the summer, he showcased his complete offensive skillset, creating for himself at all three levels, playing through contact, and consistently finishing around the basket. One of Shine's biggest strengths is his shooting. He possesses an effortless jumper with great elevation and rhythm, while also displaying a strong feel for the game away from the ball. His ability to relocate, find open space, and contribute without needing the ball in his hands adds another dimension to his offensive game. With the ball, Shine plays with patience and control. He doesn't allow defenders to speed him up and does a great job reading the floor, manipulating defenders, and getting to his spots. His ability to operate at his own pace allows him to consistently create quality looks for himself and his teammates. Defensively, Shine brings physicality and agility to the point guard position. He has strong footwork and a longer wingspan that allows him to bother opposing ball handlers, fight through actions, and disrupt the flow of an offense. Shine will fit seamlessly into Fox Creek's system and immediately gives the Predators an experienced lead guard capable of impacting the game on both ends of the floor. With his scoring ability, playmaking, shooting, and defensive versatility, Shine should be an immediate X-factor as Fox Creek looks to make another run toward the State Championship game in March @tyshineee @FoxCreekHoops @TimKButler @antauwn @PrepHoopsSC @AndrewBaxleySC @444Athletics @colbylewis20 @POBScout
Jonah McSwain is one of South Carolina’s most lights-out shooters. The 6’2” combo guard from Gaffney, South Carolina, is entering his senior season after a number of impressive summer and fall showings. McSwain is a player you can never afford to lose track of due to his elite three-point shooting and cerebral playmaking. He plays with the right feel at the point guard position while showing a strong understanding of how to find open space and get his shot off the catch in the halfcourt. Throughout each season, McSwain has continued to expand his game beyond being simply a knockdown shooter, developing into a true combo guard and one of the more dangerous offensive players in the Carolinas. He possesses an effortless jumper that he can get off with ease both off the catch and off the dribble. McSwain is also a crafty finisher around the basket, displaying strong body control through contact while finishing from a variety of angles and speeds. His ability to combine his shooting threat with his finishing ability makes him difficult to contain when he gets downhill. Defensively, McSwain is willing to step up and take charges around the rim, fight through opposing bigs to force deflections, and take on some of the opposing team’s best guards. He plays with a scrappy mentality and consistently makes winning plays on that side of the basketball. With Dean College becoming the first school to offer McSwain, expect him to continue developing into one of the top players in the Upstate of South Carolina while creating even more buzz among college coaches throughout the winter @jonah_mcswain @CB4our @GaffneyHoops @CPBFamily @PrepHoopsSC
Odita Aguolu is one of Virginia’s premier breakout candidates heading into the 2026-27 season. The 6’6” wing is entering his senior season at the Miller School of Albemarle in Charlottesville, Virginia, and has shown all the signs of taking his game to the next level. After helping Miller capture its third consecutive state championship, Aguolu took charge this summer at DMV Live, where he emerged as a consistent standout throughout the event. In the first session, Aguolu averaged 22.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 50% from the field and 43% from three-point range on high efficiency. Aguolu was a fierce downhill aggressor, consistently attacking the basket, finishing through contact, and utilizing his athleticism to play above the rim. His perimeter shooting also appeared significantly improved, as he knocked down multiple shots from well beyond the arc. He positioned himself effectively in both the halfcourt and transition, generating fast-break opportunities while finding open spots off the ball for catch-and-shoot threes. As a playmaker, Aguolu made quick reads and delivered timely passes to open teammates, creating opportunities within the flow of the offense. Defensively, he showcased his versatility and length, guarding multiple positions while moving his feet well and applying pressure to opposing ball handlers. With Miller School seeking its fourth consecutive state championship, expect Aguolu to play a major role in leading the charge as he steps into a new leadership position as one of just two seniors. Surrounded by a talented supporting cast that complements his skill set, Aguolu has an opportunity to build on his summer success and establish himself as one of Virginia’s premier breakout candidates heading into his senior campaign @o_aguolu @CoachMeriwether @Colby_Drake @jwherron10 @ElitePrepLeague @theCBGLive
