I am shifting all of my build content on AI to a new account
I'll keep my musings here
The future is embodied AI and there's only one way to learn that.
By building a drone and teaching it to fly.
Vibes are questionable.

Clyfford Still didn't like the beautiful brick that was Cap City so they pulled a flipper.
No one said owning an art museum meant you had "taste"
How sad.

Agentic editing is big right now.
And in truth, the old way is out.
I have a very sophisticated motion harness for my @GoogleLabs work
Wanted to see where the current line is with Gemini 4 if I pointed it at the brand website
I don't touch After Effects anymore but I have a full timeline I can update whenever I have to
This is a totally unsolicited harness test and I dare say it's a success.
.@CityCastDenver sometimes run a "we don't endorse" tag
They just endorsed the graduated income measure through an ad unit?
Me on linkedin pulling open records for every executive that was cheering on the dismantling of @IthacaCollege
Ithaca is currently sitting on an A3 credit rating and 350M of unrestricted reserves
It's The Big Stupid Short
Maybe the coolest thing I've ever made
How do you teach an model to understand and build motion graphics? This isn't pixel generation. It's a real, editable, After Effect timeline.
This is a Breakdown of the motion harness I've built mostly with @GoogleDeepMind's Argon.
Models don't see continuous motion, they sample one frame a second of a static image. Optical flow analysis shows the model what is in motion, where it started, where it's going and the speed that it moves.
Which is why you see Direction, Settled, Static in the upper left. The model is then able to figure out how quickly something transits the screen and from there is able to derive the motion speed curves.
I used to do VFX work years ago in AE and Nuke,
the middle panel shows the real timeline with the actual functions being called to build the video on the bottom.
The goal was to speed my workflow in the tools that I use daily. What came out is the most advanced motion graphics harness in the world.
It's the coolest thing I've made and I have no idea what to do with it.
This was a benchmark test against motion work by one of the best in the industry @hugeinc
I have learned so much about the higher ed crises through the @IthacaCollege dismantling.
It's a who's who of the ruination of Higher Education,
I've started to just quote their earnings back to them and they inevitably crash out and start using slurs.

I'm constantly evaluating my AI to After Effect harness and it's starting to blow me away.
This is the opening of a @hugeinc motion piece rebuilt natively in AE by @GoogleDeepMind's Argon (medium) and my own tooling.
The regeneration benchmarking isn't for training and the end goal isn't recreation.
Creatives should be able to live where they're comfortable, they should be able to step in and adjust manually, and the models should have the telemetry available to assist in the vision.
This is the first time the tooling has been able to regenerate world class motion design compositions directly in AE.
And the bridge is getting really powerful.
Defer maintenance for decades,
And we're supposed to be on the side of the slumlords?
How do you rack up 100k in deferred work in the first place?
These NYC apartments are standing empty, not because the owners don't want to rent them, but because rent stabilization laws prohibit them from charging enough to earn back the costs of necessary repairs.
My latest for @WSJFreeEx
The AI degree at @IthacaCollege has zero path to working at an AI lab.
It's an unranked program, you are better off going across the pond to @Cornell.
You don't need a 4 year program to use APIs from the labs, you can just do that by yourself.
I'm no longer a Parkie
.@IthacaCollege has decided that dismantling my program wasn't enough.
They're now dismantling the entire Park school as well as Dillingham.
Student journalists have been chasing this for a while. They also won't have a place.

I think it's rather telling that they call this "new media" which means hypersantized PR and that all of tech is responding to this by only looking at follower count.
Off to an excellent start, I see
The Front Range Passenger Rail District admits it should have told clerks about new boundaries as ballot error affects hundreds of thousands. 9news.com/article/news/local…
Things that I thought would be great:
Rebuilding the world trade center complex so people can check it out.
Things I didn't account for :

52 bus from @RideRTD turning left from 13th to bannock at 11:50.
She hits the intersection so quick that I stop walking and yield to her to not get run over and she starts flipping me off and screaming because I yielded to not get hit.
I am on the sidewalk
Fucking insane.
