If you don’t like the Fallout show, that’s fine. But for the love of God can people who critique the show actually use a fraction of their brain? It’s been years now where anything that’s hated on in the tv series is Todd or Bethesda’s fault. Which proves you have zero understanding of how tv production works… again… IMDB is free. Throw the blame at Todd and Bethesda all day for issues you have with the games or stories in them. The series they have very little to do with compared to the games. The main show runners are Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. The main writers are Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner. Executive story editor Chaz Hawkins. The main directors are Frederick E.O. Toye and Jonathan Nolan. In addition to the writers and directors I did not individually list here NONE of them work for Bethesda or on the Fallout games. While yes, Todd is attached as executive producer. He would have final say over a key element that could affect Fallout 5 for example. - if he had plans to use a character in Fallout 5 and the show runners planned to kill that character he would of course say, you can’t do that. He is not on set for everyday of shooting, he isn’t and hasn’t wrote or directed a single episode. He is very much a big picture guy and to make sure the show doesn’t step on ideas they are already working on and vice versa. (Which of course since the show is canon he would have to be). Todd even goes on record to say they (the show runners) had plenty of ideas he wished they (him and Bethesda) thought of. That the writers and crew have an amazing story full of surprises. He’s even went on record saying how impressed he was with the level of detail creating props and set pieces. (All things you wouldn’t be saying if you were the one actively making these decisions and changes daily). I’m not saying he’s not involved, but a quick IMDB search or even watching all of his interviews and discussions around the show, you can tell he’s not nearly as involved or the sole person in charge of 90% of the show’s decisions. Yeah, this is long winded probably full of typos, but it’s exhausting seeing post after post saying “of course Bethesda did that” “Todd hates xyz” when they did none of the things you’re complaining about. Hate the show? Fair enough, just direct the hate accurately. Alright. Have fun QTing and raging I won’t be reading em lol. Back to the memes!
