I slowed down on X for about a week, and this is what happened.

Tobey Maguire officiated his ex-wife’s wedding to someone else, and people say he’s kind and hold him up as an example. He had two kids with that woman.
Here’s my take:
It is NOT normal to divorce! Not when you have no kids, and NOT when you have kids.
What he did looks kind, but it’s madness.
He should have fought for his marriage and tried to save it instead of giving up while being nice.
My great-grandparents didn’t have a divorce.
My grandparents didn’t have a divorce.
My parents didn’t have a divorce.
And me - God willing - I won’t have a divorce.
Make the normal look normal, and appreciate the REAL examples!

In 218 BC, Hannibal of Carthage crossed the Alps with elephants and crushed Roman army after Roman army. At Cannae, he killed 50,000 - 70,000 Romans in a single day - one of the worst defeats in military history.
Rome panicked. Many senators wanted to negotiate peace.
One man refused: Fabius Maximus. He said Hannibal was too strong to fight head-on. Instead, Fabius shadowed him, cut off supplies, avoided battle, and slowly wore the invader down.
People mocked him. They called him “Cunctator” - the Delayer. They said he was a coward.
After a few years, Rome got impatient. They replaced Fabius with generals who wanted glory. Those generals rushed into battle… and got crushed again.
Eventually Rome went back to Fabius’ strategy. They stopped chasing Hannibal’s army and started cutting off his reinforcements and allies.
Years later, Rome invaded Africa, forced Hannibal home, and defeated him.
Fabius never won a flashy victory. He just refused to lose.
❕The lesson:
Sometimes the smartest move is not to fight the battle the enemy wants. Patience and discipline beat bravado - especially when your opponent is stronger in the short term. The people who mock the “delayer” usually regret it later.

Building a house means design, architecture, permits, inspections, materials, and labor.
❕The most insane part is that the cost of the design, architecture, permits, and all the related fees is the same as the cost of materials and labor.
I would never see this as something normal!
