I love that people are just expecting us to forget dems completely rolling over and not even rhetorically opposing people’s cities being invaded and their neighbors being shot in the street, only opposing trump “not asking for permission” to start a catastrophic war with Iran, approving the majority of trumps cabinet picks. We are all just supposed to forget that and think that the same leadership will be different this time somehow.

There is no such thing as a centrist. Those people are just cowards who wanna appeal to everybody. Who are too afraid to have any integrity because it cause them to lose social, cultural, or economic access. Their views change as the wind blows or depending on who they are around.

Joe: I don't think so. I haven't seen anything confirmed.
Joe: He's not a violent guy. He's talking to people on college campuses, not even particularly rude, trying to be pretty reasonable. He's a very intelligent guy. A lot of stuff I didn't agree with him on, and that's fine. You're allowed to disagree with people without celebrating that they got shot.
Charlie: You're supposed to debate a guy like that. Have a conversation where your argument is more compelling than his. That's what people should be celebrating, discourse.
Joe: No one deserves this. No one with different opinions deserves that. But I know people will celebrate it, because this is a messed-up time and people have fallen into the trap of us against them.
Charlie: It's going to make people not want to be as courageous, not want to be as forthright with what they believe.
Joe: It's a messed-up time. People are so divided, and there are so many people who love it. They profit off that division and stoke the fires for their own profit. After someone dies horribly like this, to celebrate is one of the most horrific things you can do. It should be a wake-up call for everybody.
Joe: Either people realize how insane this is and we have a conversation about being able to have conversations, or it gets a lot worse. That's what's scary.
