After the play-test my friends and I said:
“there is no way this launches within the next 2 months”
Don’t get me wrong, the test was a ton of fun. You see the vision. It’s a grand one! Thus, understandable delay.
Keep 🧑🍳’ing team!
Beautiful Light’s Early Access is moving to Q3 2027 .
Hi everyone,
We have important news to share about Beautiful Light’s EA release and the current state of the game. As always, we want to be fully transparent with you. This time, we just took a little longer before talking about it, because we were waiting on business related discussions that required us to not address the topic earlier.
🔸Why we’re delaying
The main reason is that the game needs more time. We’ve felt internally that it was still missing some content and polish. GTA VI’s release also plays a part, since it makes that period a tough one to get the proper visibility, but it’s a secondary factor. And since this isn’t the first time we’ve pushed the date back, we wanted to be absolutely sure before announcing it.
🔸What the last playtest taught us
We recently ran a bigger playtest than usual, and we’re pretty happy with the feedback. So are the players, by the way (feel free to ask them directly about their impressions on our Discord). The main takeaway is that the game needs more time to be properly released. Not on the fundamentals, but on everything around them. Here’s where we stand, concretely.
🔸What we’re already happy with, and what’s in the game today
• PvP and gunfeel (players’ favorite aspects in playtests)
• Player movement
• Graphics and atmosphere (the players’ other favorite aspect in playtests)
• UI and UX
• Game modes
• Performance on medium and high spec PCs
• Item content (weapons, gear...)
🔸What these extra months will let us add
• Better balancing for the playable anomalies, with a game mode better designed around them
• Mercenary contracts (Special PvP mission - Backfilled into a current game)
• More enemy NPCs and, above all, much better polish for them: right now it's not at the level we expect (the #1 issue raised by playtesters).
• Performance on lower spec PCs
• A rank and prestige system
• More weapon/sight/attachments
• More Tactical items (grenades, traps)
• More gameplay variety (Echoes, minigames)
• Third map (already in progress) that we target on time for EA launch
• Improved audio: our homegrown solution works pretty well, but it still needs more polishing
• And if we aim to include the Juggernaut at EA launch, our second playable anomaly, but we first focus to have the first one, the Wendigo well implemented (fun/balanced, for both human and wendigo player)
🔸Our approach hasn’t changed
We don’t want to release Early Access in a rough state, and we want enough content and polish. That also gives us time to prepare the following updates without any dry spell in between. That’s why we’re now aiming for Q3 2027.
🔸A word for those who have doubts
I know that for some of you, this new delay doesn’t inspire much confidence, especially since it’s the third one. So I want to reassure you: the game is here, and it’s playable.
Deep Worlds is a team of 20 people. We’re a small, independent team, and Beautiful Light is our first game. We’ve paid for that inexperience in how and when we announced release dates, and we own that. We’re also building the right support around the game so it can be run properly as a live service for years after launch. Aiming for Q3 2027 gives us time to move forward without putting the team through crunch, and to launch Early Access with everything we want in it from day one.
🔸What about playtests?
Our pipeline is ready for larger playtests. So we’ll keep running them throughout development, as usual, opening them up to more and more people. The goal is one big playtest per month with more players each time (like the previous one of october), followed by a large open beta before launch for a proper stress test.
We are not willing to charge for a product we are not fully satisfied with. 🚨Instead, we will be holding a free, closed playtest open to a larger part of our community on the 26, 27 and 28th of December 2026.🚨
That’s it! Thanks for reading and for being patient. If you have any questions, we’ll be happy to answer them.
- Make two modes
Ranked (SBMM) and Casual (No SBMM)
- Incentivize ranked as THEE mode
Either with better XP Gains/Progression or slower/No progression in casual.
But give players the choice.
- Launch a COD that will be around a few years, so a pro scene can be more established.

Beautiful Light let me try their drug.
I liked it, but they were a good friend and didn't let me have another taste.
Not Yet...
Hunger gave me their drug straight into my veins and let me have as much as I wanted and took it away.
I am fiending for more.
For both.
For it all!

Looking for a new Duo.
Must not play WoW.
Preferred games such as Deadlock, Wardogs, and Hunger
Coop games and non shooters ok.
Must be funny and slam their desk when they die/lose in game.
Sounds of cans falling a plus.

The worst person in the Arc Raiders community.
This is amazing news.
I've been falsely banned from ARC Raiders for aimbotting. I've dedicated my life to this game since release, streaming thousands of hours of my gameplay publicly.
I'm willing to FLY OUT to Embark HQ and play in front of the developers to prove I'm 100% legitimate.
My reputation and career are being destroyed, and I've even received death threats over this ban.
@ARCRaiders @EmbarkStudios I'm begging you to properly review my case. I have nothing to hide. I just want the chance to prove my innocence.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Embark's support stated their investigation found a "consistent pattern of abnormal behaviors" as evidence of aimbotting, leading to a hardware ban. He had posted a clip days earlier asking "how am I not banned yet."

Trump engaged in a thoughtful, extended conversation with—nothingness. He suddenly stopped, waved, saluted, offered greetings, and chatted for a bit with the empty space. 😁🤭
The cameraman deliberately zoomed out to show that there was absolutely no one to be seen for hundreds of meters in any direction.
Apparently, Trump received a visit from the very same "invisible person"—the kind of encounter he had previously mocked Joe Biden for supposedly having.
