ใช่เลยย นี่พูดมาตลอดว่าฮีเก่งจริง แฟนคลับคือแฟนเพลงจริงๆอะ แทบไม่โปรโมทเพลงในรายการเพลง ก็มีคนรอฟัง ศิลปินที่ royal กับเทสของตัวเองก็จะมีแฟนคลับที่ royal ต่อฮีเหมือนกัน แล้ว เห็นเงียบๆคือมีแฟนเพลงโคตรเยอะ
ฉันอยากรู้ว่ามีเด็กฝึก yg คนไหนที่ปล่อย unreleased songs ออกมาให้ได้ฟังเยอะขนาดนี้ไหมว่ะ5555 คือเยดัมแม่งพิสูจน์ตัวเองมาตลอดในเรื่องการทำเพลงจริงๆอ่ะ จนมาเป็น DIMO REX ศิลปินเคฮิป rnb ที่กำลังมาแรงในเกาหลีตอนนี้ ฟคฮีจริงๆแถบจะไม่ต้องทำอะไรแล้วด้วยซ้ำเพราะมีคนฟังจากผลงานที่ปล่อยออกมาเพิ่มขึ้นเยอะมาก มีแฟนเพลงที่ตามจากเทสเพลงของฮีจริงๆ ปล่อยเพลงออกมาแบบไม่ดูถูกคนฟังเลย ฉันอยากให้ dimo rex เยดัมได้รางวัลอะไรสักอย่าง 😭

เยดัมเล่าว่าสมัยที่ยังเป็นเด็กฝึก ชอบแอบทำเพลงแล้วอัปโหลดลง SoundCloud โดยไม่ให้ใครรู้ ตอนนั้นมีเพลงที่ทำเก็บไว้เยอะมาก ถ้าลองค้นหาใน YouTube ก็จะเจอเพลงเก่า ๆ ที่เขาเคยทำไว้ประมาณ 20 เพลง (แต่ละเพลงยอดฟังแตะหลักแสนขึ้นทั้งนั้น บางเพลงก็แตะหลักล้านอ่ะ 🥹)
แต่พอเริ่มมีคนรู้หรือจับได้ ก็จะลบเพลงเก่าทิ้งแล้วทำเพลงใหม่มาอัปโหลดแทน ทำแบบนี้วนไปเรื่อย ๆ จนสุดท้ายความลับก็ถูกเปิดเผย เจ้าตัวบอกว่าไม่รู้เหมือนกันว่าคนอื่นรู้เรื่องนี้กันได้ยังไง แถมยังจำชื่อแอ็กเคาท์ไม่ได้ด้วยซ้ำ ไม่แน่ใจด้วยว่ายังมีแอ็กเคาท์นั้นอยู่หรือเปล่า
เจ้าตัวบอกเพลงที่คิดว่าน่าจะเป็นต้นเหตุให้คนจับได้ว่าเป็นตัวเอง ก็คือเพลงคัฟเวอร์ Heartbreaker ของ Justin Bieber ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในเพลงแรก ๆ ที่เคยปล่อยลง SoundCloud ด้วย คิดว่าคนน่าจะจำได้เพราะเพลงนี้แหละ (แล้วเสียงแกยูนีคขนาดนั้นใครจะจำไม่ได้บ้าง 🥺)

Yedam talked about how his parents taught him music from an early age, like teaching him the piano and have him guess the notes like a quiz. When he was 5, they told him to sing a Whitney Houston song for the first time. They would play the guitar and sing together, and in elementary school, they had him learn to play the harmonica to improve his lung capacity. They even sent him to an English kindergarten to improve his English pronunciation, so even though he couldn't speak English well when he was kid, he ended up singing like a native English speaker.
Yedam said he had so much fun through it all and that his parents really looked after him in may different ways 🥹🤍

🦊: Rather than saying I’m trying to get rid of them, I know what kind of traits each one possesses. So rather than discarding them, it feels more like I’m reinterpreting them as DIMO REX. And since I don’t plan to completely stop performing as Bang Yedam in the future, I need to leave something behind. Because If I were to shed it all off, when I go back to making music as Bang Yedam, I might find myself wondering, “Who was I again?" Something like that.

Yedam being asked about the reason why his DIMO REX album covers all follow a consistent concept:
🦊: There wasn’t really any big reason, but I guess it’s kind of a symbol for me. You can think of it as a symbol, and you can view it all as part of a series based on the album covers. It seems like we’re nearing the final stages of wrapping that up (the current album series), and after that, I’m planning to try out other album covers as well.

"I am the DJ in the video. I played music for about two hours at the after-party. We were just hanging out in the usual party atmosphere, but when I played "Kick It," Justin Bieber came over himself and asked me to "play this one again," starting over from the beginning. A little later, when "Say My Name" came on, he was smiling and dancing too. Played for two hours straight. While playing for 2 hours, he didn't have reaction to the other songs."
