CB7 voted 26–19 last night to support DOT's two-way protected bike lane on W. 72nd St — the Upper West Side's first crosstown bike connection from Central Park to the Hudson.

Tonight @CB7Manhattan is hearing from @24PrecinctCC about missing persons, homeless outreach, resources for our @NYPD, and pet safety. It’s the monthly Community Council meeting and the room is full of engaged New Yorkers.

It’s standing room only @HenryStreet for tonight’s meeting of the @NYC_DOT with @ydanis and his team fielding questions from the all quarters of the city. “DOT has a challenging responsibility to organize limited space so we can all move around 304 sq. miles of New York City.”
Last night @CB7Manhattan’s Transportation Committee passed a unanimous resolution to end unnecessary #helicopter traffic over our district and beyond—the committee calling on lawmakers to end the pollution, noise, and mayhem in the skies over #NewYorkCity.
For Mother’s Day our Transportation @CB7Manhattan Committee co-chair @jamifloyd took a e ticket ride on a city bus. Thank you @MTA.

Why are abandoned graffiti and trash covered newsracks littering the UWS?
Dot (nyc.gov/html/dot/html/infras…) regulation requires racks free of graffiti, away from corners and subways. Not enforced!
