Amarri Monroe to Syracuse has not gotten talked about enough. The Quinnipiac standout will be a key part of G-Mac’s opening season with the Orange. 👇
Monroe a 6’7 220lb forward is a special talent. He possess next level athleticism alongside one of the strongest frames in all of college basketball. This past season at Quinnipiac he averaged 15.6 PPG, 8.3 REB 2.2 AST along with 2.3 Steals and 1 block. Monroe added splits of 41/28/76.
Monroe automatically has the chance to be one of the best defenders in all of the ACC. Monroe is a very versatile defender and can guard almost anyone on the floor.
Monroe as an offensive piece will be interesting. He has all the tools offensively it’s just how will G-Mac use him. Where I like Monroe is as a driver, super physical and can finish through almost anyone. Getting him in the post is also an option as well.
Monroe is the ultimate Swiss Army knife and the perfect finishing piece on a Syracuse team that has a real chance to make some noise in the ACC.

RJ Godfrey to Arizona is a phenomenal move for Tommy Lloyd and the Wildcats. Arizona pairs Godfrey with Mo Krivas which will immediately make one of the most physically imposing front courts in all of college basketball. 👇
Godfrey a 6’8 230lb power forward is built like a truck. Not many people can move Godfrey and not many people can stop him either. Godfrey is primarily a back to the basket bruiser. He has a ton of success man handling people down low and finishing with contact.
Godfrey this past season at Clemson posted averages of 12 PPG 5.3 REB on splits of 61/20 (only shot 11 threes on the year) and 66.
Godfrey like I said is a bruiser. He plays well backing people down and using a lot of hook shots and difficult finishes. He shot 65% at the rim this year on pretty high volume. When you need a bucket giving it to RJ down low is always a safe bet as it was for Clemson all season long.
Godfrey can also be used as a passing hub if needed. I like the upside with him as a playmaker if Arizona tests that out with him.
Godfrey lastly is a good defender. Very physical and mobile for a guy his size. Runs the floor well and plays with an incredibly high motor.
RJ is the type of guy that just plays the game the right way. Doesn’t play outside of his role and really strives at what he does best. RJ was personally my favorite Tiger this past season and I’m excited to see him (hopefully) at Arizona!

Anthony “Pig” Johnson may be my new favorite player in all of the transfer portal. Johnson had an electric season for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Johnson will now be in the portal for his fifth and final year.👇
This past season Pig averaged 13.2 PPG 3.2 REB 1.3 STL on splits of 45/33/76. A huge season from the former NAIA product.
Johnson does the dirty work to a T. He plays with an incredibly high motor on both ends of the ball. Johnson is the glue to a team, he does the things NOBODY else wants to do. He cuts, sets screens, switches PnRs all at an extremely high level.
Johnson is an incredible defender at the guard spot. At 6’3 175lbs he has a strong frame. He moves his feet really well and stays disciplined.
On the offensive side Johnson is best as a dribble driver. He attacks closeouts at an elite rate and can finish at the rim with the best of them. He shot 56% around the rim but the numbers don’t indicate how good of a finisher he is. He is extremely athletic and has an array of finishes that he uses to his advantage.
Johnson can do anything, you need a secondary ball handler/scorer? Johnson. You need a point of attack defender? Johnson. It is a no-brainer that this is a high major talent.
Xaivian Lee was recently granted a fifth year of eligibility and will enter the transfer portal. Lee recently competed with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Summer League. 👇
Lee a 6’4 guard out of Canada brings tons of value as a lead guard. At Florida this last season he averaged 11.6 PPG 3.7 REB 4.2 AST on splits of 42/29/77 while also posting 1.2 steals per contest as well.
Lee is a gifted shot creator. He uses a lot of combos / step backs to create shots where he can knock down difficult looks. Lee plays terrific out of the PnR not just as a scorer but as a playmaker as well.
Lee has great touch with the ball in his hands and showcases a high IQ as a playmaker. With Lee you don’t need him to score 20 a night, his impact as a playmaker is just as important.
Lee despite the smaller frame is a smart finisher around the rim. He finished at 66% on the year and has all types of crafty finishes. He avoids shot blockers well by using the rim and his speed and acceleration. He uses floaters well and can finish with each hand with ease.
Lee is just the type of guy any team would want. A confident lead guard who has a high scoring upside with tremendous playmaking. Happy to see him back for another year and can’t wait to see where he lands.
P.S - with the portal back, I am back.
Believe not being a contributor is a bit of a stretch. Awesome rebounding skills and some shooting ability along with play finishing that will develop. The upside is super high for Cenac and the Celtics will be a great spot for development for him.
The newest Boston Celtic☘️
Chris Cenac Jr is a future NBA star. The 6’11 center out of New Orleans Louisiana has produced all season for a top 10 Houston Cougars squad! 👇
-
Cenac was a 5 star recruit coming out of Link Academy. He was a high potential recruit and ultimately committed to Kelvin Sampson and the Cougs.
-
One of the biggest concerns coming out of High School about Cenac was his motor. But if you watch him now he is undoubtedly one of the hardest workers every time he steps on the hardwood.
-
Rebounding is where I find myself impressed with Cenac. Averaging 7.8 per game but the numbers indicate he will translate to an impactful rebounder in the league. He has great positional awareness and his physical drive gets him to spots to get rebounds that look almost impossible. With a 7’3 wingspan, 240lbs, and 9 foot standing reach Cenac is super hard to box out.
-
Cenac oozes with potential on the offensive end. He is a willing and confident shooter. He shoots 33% from the 3 right now on almost 3 attempts per game. He can spot up in the corner for isolation possessions and knock down catch and shoot. Or he can run a pick and pop. His shooting ability makes him incredibly valuable for any offense.
-
Chris has also shown flashes of having an elite size-up/ mid range game. Cenac shoots 44% outside of the paint. Overall Cenac shoots 50% from the field and 80% in the paint. He also tags on an efficient 75% from the free throw line.
-
6’11 240lbs with great athleticism, good shooting ability, and unlimited potential. No reason Cenac is not a first round pick in this years draft. And if he decides not to enter this year he will be a no-doubter lottery pick.

Daquan Davis to LIU is a really fun pickup for Rob Strickland. LIU has had some electric guards such as Greg Gordon and Malachi Davis most recently.
Davis is a smaller guard at 6’1 but is very scrappy and makes up for his size. Davis shows a lot offensively as a driver and playmaker especially out of the PnR.
I hope to see more progression from Davis as a shooter, shot 28% his Freshman season at FSU but I fully expect the numbers to rise in the NEC.
Davis paired with Vasean Allette are the best duo in all of the NEC. FINS UP!

Dennis Parker Jr to Kansas is really going under the radar in this years portal cycle.
The 6’6 transfer guard from Radford will be a big piece off the bench for Bill Self. This past season at Radford he averaged 18.3 PPG 5.9 REB on 48/38/66 splits. Including a 53 point explosion against Coppin State early in the season.
Parker Jr is an explosive scorer who can do a little bit of everything offensively. Puts a lot of pressure on the rim where he shot 63% at. Attacks closeouts really well and uses his physical traits really well offensively.
Parker Jr is also a really good defender as well. He even went onto the Field of 68 podcast and said “I really love defense more than offense”. Parker may not get the volume he did at Radford so for him to take so much pride in his defense is a great sign for the Jayhawks.
Huge home run hit for Bill Self to bolster the depth of this 2026-2027 Jayhawks roster.

Tre Donaldson is definitely a player who needs to be on the radar of NBA teams prior to the NBA Draft.
Sources tell me he has worked out so far with the Knicks, Warriors, Clippers, Spurs, Suns, Pistons and Jazz.
Donaldson a 6’3 198lb PG had a standout season running the show in Coral Gables. He averaged 16.4 PPG along with 5.7 AST and 3.6 REB. He paired those numbers with splits of 45/36/77.
Tre is a very versatile guard. He can score on all 3 levels. Finishes at the rim at a high rate at 59% and is a super physical driver. Donaldson a former football player uses a mix of physicality along with finesse around the hoop. He is super hard to stop when he gets 2 feet into the paint.
He scores and facilitates well off the PnR too. Makes really good reads and doesn’t not force much. A great decision maker, who can put good pressure on the rim.
Donaldson is a much improved shooter. The shot progressed as a shooter and really became a reliable catch and shooter. His shooting ability really makes Donaldson a threat on/off the ball which is incredibly important in NBA Guards.
Donaldson lastly is a gritty defender. Tre was a former football player and you can definitely see it in his game. He fights over screens well and is a reliable point of attack defender.
Donaldson no doubt is an NBA player. A incredible winner who has done nothing but improve over his four years college career. I am certain he will be a steal wherever he goes.
Billy Richmond III coming back to Arkansas for his junior season is so good for the game of College Basketball.
Richmond was a guy who could’ve stayed in the draft but ultimately I think could benefit from another year. This Arkansas team will be must see this season and Richmond is a big reason why.
At 6’6 205 Richmond is a beast. Can jump out of the gym but can also blow by defenders with a super explosive first step. Richmond is super physical with a super high motor.
Richmond is a defensive menace. Is such a versatile defender and can mostly guard 1-3 with the occasional 4 man as well. He is just so physical and plays with such a chip on his shoulder that you can be comfortable 1-4 with Richmond. Richmond is also a good rebounder for his size with 4.3 per game this past season.
Richmond offensively is mostly a rim finisher. Plays off the catch and also is the recipient of many lobs especially in transition. He shot 73% at the rim this season which is awesome with 38 dunks to add on that as well. Where he has question marks is the jumpshot. Shot 26% from 3 this season but shot 78% from the free throw. It’s hard to project him right now as a shooter but I have hope for him.
Billy Goat is awesome, an electric player who is so good for the game. It’s going to be an epic team in Fayetteville this season.

Tom Izzo and Michigan State hasn’t had the loudest off season portal wise but the Spartans have one of the more exciting rosters next season in all of CBB.
Returning Jeremy Fears Jr is huge for Sparty. One of if not the best guard in all of CBB. Elite playmaker who will be the motor behind the offense and run the show in East Lansing. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him as a National Player of the Year finalist when it’s all said and done.
Jordan Scott + Cam Ward + Kur Teng are all huge pieces to the puzzle as well. Also not to mention Kaleb Glenn who missed out all of last season with injury. All these guys will add tremendous depth on the wing. Definitely saw offensive ability from Jordan Scott too towards the end of last season, if he takes another leap he could easily be a 10 PPG + scorer.
Coen Carr returning is also huge. The forward is a huge piece to the puzzle. He will need to shoot it a little bit better this year but will also most likely see more of an inside role with the departure of Jaxson Kohler and Carson Cooper. Carr will likely play alongside transfer center Anton Bonke.
The freshman is what make this team so exciting. A top 5 class in the country, with 4 four star recruits. Starting with the guards Carlos Medlock Jr and Jasaih Jervis.
Medlock Jr will be a huge scoring boost for the Spartans. I believe he will step in and make instantly contribute off the bench as a spark plug scorer who can also be a menace defensively. A perfect fit on a Tom Izzo led team.
Jasiah Jervis will also be a huge offensive punch for Sparty. A really good shooter with a good frame but somebody who is still a little bit raw. Has a ton of upside especially being developed by Tom Izzo.
Now moving onto the bigs first off with Julius Avent. At 6’7 220 Avent will be an inside out big. Can stretch the floor a little bit but he really likes to get into the post and beat people down. A super physical guy who will fit well in Michigan States system.
Ethan Taylor lastly is probably the most intriguing guy on this squad. A 7 footer with a great feel for the game. I think he will make an elite PnR threat with Jeremy Fears. An elite athlete with real skill for a 7 footer.
Michigan State once again doesn’t wow you when you look at the portal. But don’t be surprised when a lot of these freshman come in and shock the world. Michigan State has once again a really fun roster under the great Tom Izzo.
#CBBCarter
I really like the addition of Shon Abaev to Florida St for head coach Luke Loucks.
Really big at 6’8 210lbs has a really filled out frame but also has some incredible athletic traits. It’s hard to turn down that type of size in an elite scoring guard.
Abaev can score at a high level. He has the ability to score at all 3 levels and do so at a high level. He can shoot off the catch or off the bounce when it comes to 3 point range. I think he really can be a go to bucket getter for FSU and a guy they can rely on to pick up a big chunk of the scoring.
Abaev has some of the best scoring potential in the whole entire country. Abaev and Kameron Taylor could form one of the more fun duos in all of the ACC this upcoming season.

Jalen Reece going to Texas A&M is one of the bigger steals in all of the transfer portal this season. The freshman had to step up big time when Dedan Thomas Jr went down with injury. 👇
-
Reece will most likely be a backup behind Haggerty and Warren. Reece will also take the backcourt with Tyshawn Archie backing up with him.
-
Reece this past season averaged 5.8 PPG 1.8 REB 3.6AST and 1 steal per game. The splits were not great at 36/30/72 but I fully expect him to shoot it better with year 1 under his belt now.
-
Reece is a really good ball handler who limited his turnovers in a primary ball handler role. He is very comfortable at shooting off the dribble and can break people down well in half court sets. Has the ability to make 3s off the bounce but also off the catch, 60% assisted on 3s this season.
-
Reece gets to the hoop well and finished at 50% at the rim. Being 6 feet tall he uses a lot of touch around the rim and can finish at uncomfortable angles. Reece really has good feel at the rim and uses his body and speed really well.
-
I think overall he can be a great fit in Bucky’s fast paced system. He really has a ton of potential as a transition player especially with the court vision he possesses. Super excited to watch this guard unit of A&M and especially Jalen Reece.
#CBBCarter
Clemson is reportedly the frontrunner to land David Fuchs a 6’9 transfer forward from San Francisco could be a major impact player in Brad Brownell’s system. 👇
Fuchs at 6’9 245lbs is a bruiser in the paint. Finished at the rim at a 60% rate on a heavy diet down low. Plays a lot in the post and has a superb feel and touch around the rim. Uses a lot of different finishes and has really good footwork and has a knack for drawing fouls where he shot 65% at the charity stripe.
-
Fuchs is also a super good rebounder. He has good positional awareness and IQ which aids him in grabbing rebounds. He got 7.8 rebounds per game at San Francisco with 2.3 on the offensive end.
-
Fuchs also showed ability to stretch the floor, he shot 30% from the 3 on very little attempts but he is respected from out there which aids him in playing off the bounce.
-
Fuchs could be a great pickup for Clemson if they end up landing him.
