So by applying the same logic to your “bring back Asylums” solution, we would see the same people running Asylums increase the amount of “mentally ill” & “drug addicts” to gain government support to finance their Asylums. If Corruption exists it should not be used to target legitimate NGO’s who help feed & house the most vulnerable in society. NGO’s serve the community and should be expanded to help those in need. Efforts should be made to provide a UNIVERSAL BASIC income to compliment NGO services, not revert civilizations progress by bringing back the nightmare of Asylums.
