It was an honor to be the keynote speaker at the @CCCADI legislative convening yesterday. Our cultural community has a unified message: the need for increased equity and more public resources for all cultural orgs. This office is committed to seeing that need fulfilled.

I am going on a pilgrimage to Ghana this July! Why? Ever since the United Nations declared the years 2015-2025 to be "The International Decade for People of African Descent," we've seen the making of the Black Panther movie, the proclamation by the United States HR 1242 bill to recognize the 400 years since the first enslaved Africans came to the Americas, and Ghana launched the Year of Return in 2019. The spirit of Pan-Africanism has had an unprecedented eruption throughout the beginning of the 21st century. Yet, in 2019, with few exceptions, AfroLatinxs were not present among the 2 million Diasporans who answered the call to return by visiting the country in record-breaking numbers. It is time we rejoin the umbilical cord. In the spirit of Sankofa, it is time we exercise our right to return and reclaim Africa as home. I'm not only going on this trip, but I am serving as an ambassador as well! This means I am inviting you to join me on this experience and be one of my ten travelers who receive a CCCADI Swag Bag, which is unavailable for purchase. Right now is the time to book; you will have access to secure the early-bird packages totaling $5,390 with flights and $3,230 without flights (based on flights from NYC) by making just a $500 deposit by April 30th. Both package options include the cost of lodging, daily breakfast, tour activities, admission to PANAFest, and more! Payment packages that best suit you are available. Just let them know Vida sent you in the notes section when you register. #ghana #Africa #panafest #Emancipation #GodBoxFoundation #GodBoxTours #CCCADI #Culture #Lineage #Tradition #Ritual #TheAlmightyPineapple #Readingsbyvida

Hey beautiful people, hola mi gente! What’s up?! Que Bolá!! Mira Familia, look family!! I am excited to announce that I have teamed up with Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute as an ambassador for their Spiritual Pilgrimage to Ghana! As part of this July 2023 pilgrimage, CCCADI’s group of travelers will have the opportunity to experience the most celebrated Pan-African festival in the world, PANAfest! The creation of this pilgrimage was born from the need to bridge the gap between the African Diaspora, particularly AfroLatinx communities, to the Pan-African ideology that the only way to overcome white supremacy is by rejoining the umbilical that was cut between Africans and the global African Diaspora. I invite you to join me in this experience! As a CCCADI Trip Ambassador, 10 of my followers will get a CCCADI Travel Swag Bag that will include materials that further enhance this journey. Learn more by visiting spiritualpilgrimage.tours/. When you sign up, make sure to let them know that I referred you in the notes section of your registration! @cccadi @thegodboxfoundation @godboxtours #ghana #godboxfoundation #pilgrimage #africa #thealmightypineapple #readingsbyvida #cccadi
