The TUV are betraying Unionism.
They oppose the removal of Irish Sea border checks.
Labour plan to do an SPSS deal with the EU which would remove the vast majority of Irish Sea border checks, but the TUV oppose it.
Vote TUV if you want to keep Irish Sea border checks in place.

The TUV have no plan to remove the Irish Sea border.
They are never going to get the same hard Brexit as GB extended to NI, and they are opposed to GB realigning with the same EU trade regulations as NI to remove the Irish Sea border.
It means the Irish Sea border goes nowhere.

Sammy I am full of admiration for your stance on Brexit and Northern Ireland.
I don’t need to defend my record with you. But for the record:
There was never a vote in the EP on the Protocol. The vote was on the WA, which had ALREADY passed Parliament. It was a done deal. I voted for it having recorded my reasons for doing so and vowing to fight it, if Johnson didn’t adhere to his manifesto promises on brexit, including Northern Ireland.
And fight it I have.
There would have been no adjudication confirming the breach of the Acts of Union had it not been for me.
I have tirelessly campaigned on the issue for the sake of Northern Ireland and our Union.
I supported you and the DUP throughout the fight until this recent deal. I put money where my mouth is by donating to the DUP.
My legitimate question is this:
After all your personal steadfastness are you really going to sit in a party which claims there is no border, while that border is being implemented?

The @duponline must be judged by what it does; not by what some of its rebellious members say.
If @eastantrimmp and his fellow rebels felt strongly about the border, they would leave the party.

As is to be expected, Sorcha Eastwood is doing her utmost to grab the spotlight in advance of the General Election. That’s politics. Her display in the chamber yesterday however is not the sort of attention she should be after. Far be it from me to give the Alliance Party electoral advice, but Sorcha doesn’t seem to appreciate that her performance yesterday came across as desperate, inauthentic, patronising and intemperate. Fair enough it made the headlines, but did it do so for the right reasons? It will certainly play out well on social media, but not with the real world. Most people will forget what she said, but remember her shouty unhinged theatrics. That’s hardly a winning ticket in Lagan Valley.

Perhaps @benhabib6 can tell us what his plan is to undo the damage caused by the NI Protocol that *he voted for*.
Perhaps he could also tell us if he actually regrets his decision to vote for it, and if he would do the same thing again if he was able to go back in time and change it.
Finally, perhaps he will do us the honour of apologising to the people of NI for the impact of the NI Protocol that wouldn’t exist without people like him supporting it.
