I feel most people don't grasp the change that medical marijuana had brought to OK.
I think that the best way to tell the story is by pictures.

We've been seeing a lot of these types of posts over the past few days. So we put this together as an explainer.
Now keep in mind that we (US_OGA) are the small companies that produce oil and gas - not the big boys that are fully integrated and produce, transport and run refineries. We don't do that. We just pull it out of the ground and sell it to whoever will buy it.
But those other guys are bad at explaining things because they have comms teams that are scared of their own shadows so we have to do if for them sometimes.
That won't keep some of you from yelling at us. So be it.
But yelling at us is like yelling at a farmer for the price of a box of cereal.
But here you go. This might answer some of these questions.
Trying to understand this…
In 2008, oil climbed to about $143 a barrel and gas was roughly $4.10 per gallon.
Today, oil is closer to $94 a barrel, but gas is around $4.38 per gallon.
Crude oil has fallen significantly, but prices at the pump don’t seem to reflect that difference.
What factors are keeping gas prices high?

Recent working paper looked at Flock fixed ALPR deployments across 216 agencies using NIBRS crime data 2017-2023. After the cameras went live, motor vehicle thefts dropped about 11%. Clearance rates for those thefts rose ~16% (with a caveat that the clearance bump started slightly before full deployment). Recoveries were a bit faster too. Not a silver bullet and privacy tradeoffs matter, but the auto-theft numbers hold up under a pretty rigorous design. Paper: crimrxiv.com/pub/zleg04q3
A man believed to be a member of the 764 child exploitation network has been arrested in Frederick, OK after a high speed car chase.
Officers arrived at Khami Hester's home to carry out a search warrant for possession of child pornography.
Hester fled in his car, hitting a police vehicle before leading officers on a chase that ended when he hit a utility pole and a barbed wire fence.
Hester is believed to have used the name "Glowie764" in the group. He was charged with eluding police officers and endangerment and is currently being held on $20,000 bond, with additional charges likely to follow.
Hester was previously arrested on child porn charges in 2022 and assaulted an officer that time too. Why are we letting these people out of jail?

The biggest change to silencer laws in 90+ years.
Starting tomorrow, August 13 at 12:01 AM, silencers and AOWs gotten through Silencer Shop can transfer with no Form 4, no federal registration, and no wait.
What you need to know:
Applies in the 27 states with no state-level NFA laws. 15 states still require a Form 4.
The silencer must come from Silencer Shop or a Powered By Silencer Shop dealer.
SBRs and SBSs are not included. The 1968 Gun Control Act still requires ATF approval, so a Form 4 is still required. The tax is gone, but the paperwork isn’t.
The government can still appeal, so we'll keep you posted if anything changes.
Thank you to our partners in this fight: @silencershopfnd @GunOwners @palmettoarmory @silencerco @btusallc @FRACAction @2AFDN and YOU. We sued the ATF. We won. And we’re not done fighting for you.

(Note: I deem this guy a neighborhood hero!)
Police say a Tulsa man was arrested after neighbors reported something unusual happening at Redbud Creek Apartments near 71st & Memorial.
According to investigators, he allegedly accessed unsecured Wi-Fi routers throughout the complex and changed the network names to passive-aggressive neighborhood reminders.
Some reportedly included:
• TakeYourTrashCanIn
• YourGarageIsOpen
• StopLeafBlowingAt7AM
• PleasePickUpAfterYourDog
• WeCanHearYourMusic
Police say no passwords or personal information were stolen, but changing someone else’s router settings without permission is what led to the arrest.
Some neighbors are calling him a neighborhood hero.
Others say he crossed the line.
If one of those Wi-Fi names was directed at you… would you laugh or call the police?
