I haven’t posted here for ages, but I want people to share my wife’s GoFundMe if possible. She has been wonderful in the most important roles in life – as a mother, grandmother and a teacher. Please donate if you can. Thanks gofund.me/5e34e0fa3

"You can stick your new stadium up your arse" sing the United support. Reinforcing the point that the performance of the team is the most important thing for match-going supporters.

I actually think there’s 3 red cards in this sequence 🤣 - Van De Ven tackle - deliberate hand ball from Fernandes to stop Palmer going 1 on 1 with the keeper - Palmer’s attack on Fernandes

I'll forgive everything apart from a lack of fight. That performance by the team and coach were unacceptable against anyone but even more so against them. How the manager didn't change anything at half time was baffling.

Asked a guy next to mr sitting in a disabled seat at Hammersmith if he was disabled as I wanted to get Dog a seat. He was in his 30s and said he wasn’t but he’d been on tube for a while and wasn’t moving. Glad I’m not 20 years younger …

It’s been coming with Palmer - arguing with refs etc. I love him but he needs to be pulled in line …

I’m blaming Alonso for that. Out fought in midfield; nowt up front and left Welbeck on bench. Embarrassing

I think there’s a tipping point coming in the not-too-distant future when match-going fans simply call it a day. Speaking to a lot of people recently, there’s a growing sense of disconnect between the club and its supporters, particularly after the way fans were treated over the summer. The feeling is becoming increasingly widespread, and I think the club risks underestimating just how much that relationship is deteriorating.

All the chaos at United starts and ends with the ownership. We all know this. Everything in between - the standards dropping, the football falling apart, the culture eroding - has just been the inevitable fallout. Until that changes, nothing will.

A little snippet... Not everyone at Chelsea loves the Penders/Courtois comparisons. Some think it invites unnecessary pressure on their 21yo Belgian. But there is a nice tale connecting the two. Penders’ father, Peter, is friends with Courtois’ old man, Thierry. When Penders was once struggling to find boots that fit properly because his shoe size is so large, Thierry heard about the problem, and made sure he received the perfect pair 🤝 More in the piece:
