Unpopular Performance Opinion
Confidence isn't built by positive thinking.
It's built by positive action.
Do the work.
Confidence catches up.

There is an edge that can be found in the margins.
Competitive separators.
A commitment level and discipline to do the boring, to do the basics, and to do the uncomfortable when you don’t feel like doing it.

Jacob is a 5’9” Point Guard from Kansas City, Missouri. He played his entire collegiate career at the University of Richmond @SpiderMBB from 2017-2022. He went down as one of the greatest players in school history!
Gilyard was a four-time All-Atlantic 10 selection, the 2020 Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year, Atlantic 10 Tournament Champion and also left Richmond as the NCAA’s all-time leader in steals for a college career among many other accolades!
Jacob started off his professional career on an NBA Exhibit 10 Contract with the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2022-2023 season where he led the G League in assists per game at 8.8! At the end of the season, Jacob was converted to a NBA Two-Way Contract and made his NBA debut to end that season.
He came back the following season and played 37 regular season games for the Grizzlies and averaged 4.7 points, 1.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. He finished off that season on a Two-Way with the Brooklyn Nets where he played 4 more games.
After 41 career NBA games and 89 games in the G League, Gilyard made the move to Europe to end the 2024-2025 season with Niners Chemnitz in Germany’s BBL!

Strong, physical guard who makes an impact on both ends of the floor. He is a capable shooter when left open but is at his best when creating off the dribble. He is a willing passer with phenomenal court vision and is an excellent decision-maker with the ball in his hands.
Keep working @GradyOgden_10 #CITK

A true floor spacer who makes defenses extend well beyond the arc. College coaches—he's worth a look.
