On this International Women’s Day, I’d like to take this opportunity to talk to you about something.
I’ve discovered something incredible about Alba (Larsen)
At the age of 15, Alba set up Girls International Racing Lab, a community aimed at helping young girls discover motorsport. Through this community, Alba organises events such as go-karting sessions, meet-ups….
By organising races, meet-ups and mentoring sessions with Alba and other role models, the initiative has already engaged over 400 girls and young women in Denmark alone & Alba’s goal for this year is to reach 15,000 girls around the world.
In 2025, Alba received the FIA Women in Motorsport Award, as they recognised the impact G.I.R.L. was already having and the pathway it was starting to open up for young girls looking at racing for the first time

🇺🇲🏎️ We’re back in Austin!
On Tuesday, we joined the brilliant young women of @girlstart for a Q&A with @ScuderiaFerrari @f1academy driver @racing_alba to learn about STEM careers in motorsport.
Alba shared her own journey into the industry, which wasn't a traditional route. It shows how much talent is out there that simply hasn't had the opportunity yet.
That's why we're so proud to partner with Girlstart. We need more ways for girls to experience motorsport early, and to show them real pathways to keep progressing, whether that's as drivers, engineers, mechanics, strategists or in any of the other careers behind the sport.
Thank you to the girls who asked such thoughtful questions. We hope to see some of you trackside one day! 🏁💜

Just so I understand correctly. The FIA this year:
Reduced Ferrari’s solution on the starts to zero, meaning Ferrari lost all of its advantage and was even put at a disadvantage because of the small turbo.
The FIA decided to ban Ferrari’s FTM innovation for next season. In China, they banned the Ferrari solution with the winglets on the halo.
The FIA made a small modification to Ferrari’s innovation regarding the macarena for next year. And the FIA even wanted to ban the innovation for 2027
Before the start of the season, Ferrari asked the FIA for permission to use a highly innovative diffuser concept, and the FIA said it was not allowed. Yet in Canada, we saw that Mercedes had received permission from the FIA to use the exact same concept and kept it until Barcelona.
Obviously, there’s no need to add the whole story about the double yellow in Austria during Q3, or the yellow flag shown only for the two Ferraris in Q3 at Spa. Or the CR on the Mercedes engines & the ADUO for them.
Today, we learned that the FIA has decided to ban Ferrari’s innovation regarding the wheel rims.
All of this honestly makes me laugh. Whenever Ferrari innovates, I get the impression that it somehow bothers the FIA. Nothing surprising, and you’ll see in the future that the FIA will do everything it can to ban Ferrari’s innovations.

« Suddenly it turned into something that was actually not meant in any way to be putting any form of pressure on Fred. But this headline, together with whatever was happening in their world and their drivers, created this bit of a storm.
I felt sorry for Fred because I've been at the front of a performing team, or a high-pressure team, and know what's involved. It was a question of just two and two coming together and adding up to six.
Ferrari? I'm perhaps more focused on other options. Whenever you're associated with Ferrari, it's a great honour, but it's not something that I'm petitioning for. I think within any organisation, stability is key. During my time at Red Bull, I sat across the table with maybe six or maybe seven team principals, going back to Jean Todt up to Fred. Stability is crucial. Ferrari has a pressure with it, as essentially a national team, that others don't come under the same scrutiny. I think that it would be popular for everybody to see Ferrari winning in the sport. I think Fred is a very capable operator, I think he's got a great pedigree in lower forms of racing. He probably just needs more time. »
