@DollarGeneral i have a cold. I went to DG and bought some NyQuil. The clerk asked for my ID, then she scanned. I’m 66 btw.
1. Since when is an OTC medicine age verified?
2. If it is, no problem. But scanning my ID and gaining access to my address and other personal information is out of line.
Here is your stated policy;
In a July 2026 public response, the company said it had replaced manual birth-date entry with ID scanning for alcohol and tobacco. It says the barcode is used only to validate birth date, and no other personal information is obtained or stored through that process.
I don’t see cold medicine in your statement.
