Most of you saw my post about my precious preemie who was born October 26th. I had fallen twice before I went into early labor and they had to cut her from my womb. Well, it was 41 years ago today, I finally got to hold her in my arms. They let the drugs wear off, and she opened her beautiful eyes and gazed upon me, and spoke to me with those precious eyes. I heard her say, "I'm sorry Mom, I have to go. I love you and thank you for my brief life". My Sweet Mom was sitting across from me as they turned the respirator down. I held her until she gasped her last breath. I didn't cry then, but when I asked them to take her lifeless body from my arms, my Mom asked to hold her. I fell to pieces then and told my Mom how sorry I was that I didn't let her hold her when she was alive. She told me not to be sorry. She was mine to hold. 💔💔💔 She was 6 days old, and 1 lb 12 oz when she passed. She fought a good fight. I still miss her and wonder what my life would be like. Rest Easy, Sweet Brandy. Mommy loves you still, and always will.

Chicago Firefighter Drops Aggressor with a Halligan Steel Bar Swing After Being Charged on the Street
Honestly, this video is so tough to watch, but it is a brutal reminder of just how fast things can go completely sideways for our first responders.
What looked like a routine call turned into absolute chaos when this shirtless guy started aggressively tracking a fire crew. In the footage, he fixes his eyes on a firefighter who is holding a Halligan bar if you don't know what that is, it's a massive, 30-inch chunk of solid steel they use to bust down heavy doors. Instead of backing off, the guy just straight-up charges him. The firefighter doesn't wait around to see what happens next. He takes one decisive swing, connects, and the guy goes down hard.
The man was rushed to the hospital for medical and psychological evaluations, and the city is currently sorting out the investigation which means a slap on the wrist and shoved back on the streets
