Been advocating for a Bourbon Entertainment District for years. Sell the Yum Center to a group that owns the team. Include nearby PARC properties. Get rid of the LAA and TIF to incentivize other Downtown developments. Redeem bonds in 2027 which terminates UofL lease! Renegotiate!

This stat from the Atlanta Braves is wild 👀 In 2025: ⚾ Baseball business → $51M income 🏙️ Mixed-use business → $68M income The real estate+ businesses surrounding the Braves generated 34% MORE operating income than the baseball team itself.

For those of you that don’t know, this is Dan Issel 🐴💙🤍 Dan turned 78 today. He was a Kentucky standout and is the leading scorer in school history. He was an ABA star and champ and when combined with his NBA stats, is the 14th leading scorer in pro hoops history.

If the NBA counted ABA points (and they should), Issel would be 14th on the All-time scoring list. #BBN @COLCOMEBACK

Over 50 years later, ABA signatures are blurred but still legible. Artis Gilmore Dan Issel Pierre Russell Wendell Ladner Walt Simon Jimmy O’Brien Claude Virden Ron Thomas Mike Gale Louie Dampier Rick Mount The NBA acknowledging their statistics can make these names — who gave so much to basketball —even more permanent. @abathrowbacks @nba2lou @COLCOMEBACK

I’m glad the NBA is celebrating the ABA’s. But it’s BS to recognize our league while many former ABA players struggle and their stats remain excluded from NBA records! Honor the players. Honor the history. Honor the numbers. Honor the Legacy! NBA, do the right thing!!

In 2024, Major League Baseball incorporated the statistics of the Negro Leagues. In 2025, the NFL incorporated the statistics of the All-America Football Conference. In 2026, on the 50th anniversary of NBA-ABA merger, will the NBA incorporate the statistics of the ABA?

The NBA is selling ABA gear but ABA stats don’t count in NBA records, and no share of merchandise $$ has been publicly committed to former ABA players. Honor the legacy, not just the logos Reshare if you agree and support the Dropping Dimes Foundation: droppingdimes.org

Here’s another one: BS! Not one dime of ABA apparel sales are going to Indy based companies @lana_sports or @droppingdimes67 And DDF helps former ABA guys in need who are struggling with health or financial challenges! 😠

Seattle is no longer considered a lock for an NBA expansion team, Adam Silver has informed team owners, per @WindhorstESPN. The league is reportedly using Mexico City as a potential alternative to pressure Seattle’s bidding group into raising its offer. (h/t @TheNBABase )

It should be Seattle and LOUISVILLE. Vegas is a mistake. @COLCOMEBACK
RainCityPride@SonicsRCPOct 16
It was “leaked” that Adam Silver and the NBA said Seattle “isn’t guaranteed” an expansion team. While this is scary reporting, that is all it is - a scare tactic. Silver will do anything to drive up the bid in Seattle. Seattle is the only market deserving of an expansion team.
