The majority of Einstein postdocs have already voted since our Strike Authorization Vote opened yesterday! After more than two years of bargaining, the message from postdocs is overwhelming: We need a fair contract NOW!

Two unions, one fight. Postdocs and senior researchers rallied together today to show Mount Sinai that we are standing together to demand the fair contracts we deserve.

Postdocs at @icahnmountsinai are done being underpaid for work that saves lives. We're fighting for a contract with fair compensation and real cost-of-living support.
WHO’S GOT THE POWER? WE GOT THE POWER!
200 postdocs, ARS, and supporters picketed outside Columbia’s “State of the School” presentation Monday to send a clear message: we need Columbia to stop breaking the law and negotiate in good faith for a fair contract, or we will strike!
Inside, Columbia reassured us its financial condition is strong, but we know the truth: Columbia’s offer fails to address the cost of living crisis and completely ignores pressing issues like housing and childcare.

Two years have passed since we began bargaining with @EinsteinMed . Yesterday, our elected Bargaining Committee announced a Strike Authorization Vote (SAV) beginning on October 5th. A successful SAV will give our BC the power to call a strike if necessary to win a fair contract.

On Friday, we went to Dean Tomer's office with a letter announcing our readiness to call on our Bargaining Committee to hold a Strike Authorization Vote if necessary to reach a fair contract. The letter was signed by 50 Postdocs across 14 departments.
With record participation from postdoc and ARS union members, an overwhelming 90% voted YES to authorize our bargaining committee to call a strike if necessary to win a fair third contract! ✊🔥
Today is the final day to participate in our Strike Authorization Vote! Make sure you vote by 11:59 PM to make your voice heard #FairContractNow
