Don't be stingy with whom you extend your hello. Every individual has a piece of knowledge to offer you.

Likely the closest I’ll ever get to the actual thing! Thank you to @aurelia_labs and @GoZeroG for allowing me the opportunity to celebrate the culmination of my time at MIT in zero gravity! It was an honor to fly with you on behalf of the @mattfellowship! Ad Astra ✨

Patties in Zero G! Thanks to our friends at @aurelia_labs, two of our alumni are getting their first taste weightlessness this weekend. Brandon (Class of 21) flew yesterday, and tested out gecko grip in microgravity alongside fellows of our sister programs! 🤩🤩

A successful launch of AEROS can be monumental in proving the power of how small, more affordable spacecraft can achieve large scientific feats 💪🏽🛰️ The team was such a pleasure to work with! Rooting for a successful launch today 🚀

AEROS also has a software defined radio (SDR) that will receive beacons from in-water buoys and tagged marine life (sharks/rays/whales). This allows us to determine what the environment is like (from the hyperspectral data) around where marine life is hanging out in the region 🦈

It’s primary goal is detecting small changes in ocean color data that can indicate the health of in-water fauna, sediment flow into the water, harmful substances suspended at the surface, etc. The data is incredibly useful for environmental/ocean monitoring at large scales!

I had the honor of supporting mission development through the @MITPortugal program, and the AEROS mission was a pillar of my dissertation! This tiny but mighty 3U CubeSat will collect high-resolution, hyperspectral imagery along the Portuguese coast and in the nation’s EEZ
