Today in Vienna, I officially began my five-year mandate as a Full Member of the Management Board of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights. Strengthening the protection of fundamental rights across Europe remains a shared responsibility and a vital commitment for us all.

Rising living costs are putting enormous pressure on families in the EU. Low-income households feel the impact the most with 1 in 5 already in poverty.
The EU and EU countries have a responsibility to reduce inequality and ensure access to basic needs for a fairer future.
