Secured a $500,000 legislative appropriation for a new children’s playground at Centennial Park! This exciting new playground will be designed for all children, including children with special needs. This was a private-public partnership to turn a vision from the Perron’s into a reality for our community and the place we live. Honored to have helped in this very worthy effort!

Great article from @Rafa_Mangual on the importance of voting YES on Amendment 1. Our Tennessee judges have less discretion to deny bail than judges in New York. It’s a constitution problem that we can’t fix by just passing a law. Put victims and public safety first. Endorsed by District Attorney Association and TN Sheriff Association. Vote YES on 1!

We have been fighting woke policies all across the state for the last 16 years, after democrats had control for 100 years. The Governor has the majority of picks on an abundance of boards like, state board of education, state textbook commission, education standards committee and board of trustees at higher education campuses. This isn’t the time to give the majority of those picks to a liberal socialist democrat, who will put woke leftist socialists on them.
.@CSexton25 is exactly right. Tennessee is a conservative state, and on November 3rd, we’re going to keep it that way.

.@TNDAGC supports Amendment 1 because our district attorneys see firsthand how the TN constitution limits the ability to deny bail except in cases for the death penalty. State law cannot change the words of the constitution, Amendment 1 allows judges the discretion to deny bail for violent crimes as well, like 2nd degree murder, and aggravated child rape. I stand with the prosecutors on the front lines of protecting Tennessee families. If we are serious about crime, then Vote Yes on Amendment 1 - Give our judicial system the tools they need to keep our communities safe.

An honor to speak at President @realDonaldTrump’s rally in Clarksville this afternoon! The blue-states record is clear: High taxes. High energy bills. High cost of living. However, Tennessee is one of the most affordable states in the country! Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, America is on its way back and the American Dream is alive again after 4 disastrous years under Joe Biden. Let’s keep that momentum going and vote RED this November!

Great evening in Clarksville supporting Rep. Michael Lankford! Rep. Lankford has hit the ground running, delivering results for his district and making his mark as a freshman legislator. I’m proud to serve alongside him and look forward to building on that momentum this session. Thank you to @BillPowersTN for opening your home and hosting a wonderful evening!

It was an honor to present @ltgovmcnally with the inaugural UT Alumni Association Champion in Service Award at the groundbreaking for UT’s new College of Medicine Building. His steadfast commitment to education and health care has made a lasting difference for Tennessee. As a fellow UT alum, I’m proud to celebrate his leadership, his mentorship and this well-deserved recognition.

Enjoyed touring South Doyle High School with @ElaineElect and Rep. Dave Wright last week! Met with their ROTC leaders and members of their robotics program. Robotics is taking learning to the next level and turns classroom subjects into creative and innovative real-world skills. The students spend more than 16 hours a week outside of school preparing for competitions. Our future is bright with these young leaders!

Socialists are anti-death penalty and the softest on crime which is a dangerous combination. Yesterday, @Jerri_M_Green confirmed her socialist ties, when she put out her pro-criminal no death penalty statement and didn’t mention victim Colleen Slemmer or her family once, not once! No mention of the violence and hate Christa Pike imposed on her or that Christa kept a piece of Colleen’s skull as a trophy - no nothing; instead she just called the death penalty inhumane and said she will use her authority as governor to stop all executions. We don’t need a governor who gives criminals a free pass with a wink and a nod, we need a governor like @VoteMarsha who will hold criminals accountable, who is strong, not weak and will use the death penalty when it is imposed by the judicial system.
My statement regarding last night's botched execution: The state botched this execution because the Attorney General rushed this process, even after the execution of Tony Carruthers failed just four months ago. There is a lack of transparency around drug testing, as well as qualified and ethical personnel—but the fact of the matter is: the death penalty has always been inhumane, expensive, and biased. And Marsha Blackburn wants to bring back one of the most cruel forms of capital punishment, the electric chair. As a public defender, I’ve met a few too many people who were wrongfully convicted on death row who were later exonerated. As Governor, I would put a moratorium on all future executions. If we say we are pro-life, that means we must be anti-death penalty.

Some will rush to the defense of Christa Pike, but the only ones who matter in this case are Colleen and the Slemmer family. For thirty years the family of Colleen Slemmer has waited for the execution of their daughter’s killer, Christa Pike. Colleen was lured, beaten, tortured, slashed, carved on and then had her skull crushed. This pre-mediated act of violence deserved and received the death penalty. While a few will argue the death penalty isn’t humane - was Colleen’s murder humane? Justice wasn’t carried out last night due to an error. In the coming months, I will work with my senate counterparts to investigate this failure and past failures to make sure this doesn’t happen again. We will look at all options - expanding the alternatives, and changing the current medications to include potassium chloride. Thirty years is too long for justice. My thoughts have been and will remain with the Slemmer family as they continue to grieve.

Tennessee is growing fast: new businesses, new neighbors and busier roads. 🚜🌲@RepChrisTodd and @RepAlexander7 discuss how Republicans are protecting Tennessee's family farms and rural communities through voluntary farmland preservation, keeping land out of foreign adversaries' hands, and cutting red tape for farmers and small businesses. We believe Tennessee can prosper without losing what makes it special, with strong communities and conservative values leading the way. #TNLeads @CSexton25 @WilliamLamberth @JasonZacharyTN @repmarkcochran

We believe in free-market capitalism that rewards your hardwork, whereas Democrats want government ownership with social equality to limit your desire to achieve! Every blue state is the same - high taxes and less money in YOUR pocket! Liberals just want to take your money, spend it, and punish your success. @tnhousegop, @tnsenategop, and @VoteMarsha will keep your taxes low, reward success and protect your freedom in the Volunteer State. So you can achieve your American Dream!

On Dolly Day, we celebrate a Tennessean whose legacy and love of reading has opened doors for children across our state. The best way to honor Dolly’s legacy is to carry her vision forward. That’s why @GovLiteracyTN, @SenBoWatson, and I are fully committed to ensure every child in Tennessee is part of the Imagination Library from birth to kindergarten. Dolly dreamed big for Tennessee’s children. Let’s make sure each one has the opportunity to experience the joy of reading!

Tennessee is a special place. Republicans are fighting to keep it that way. This year, working alongside the Trump administration, Tennessee expanded cooperation with federal immigration authorities, supported enforcement of removal orders, strengthened employment verification and took steps to ensure taxpayer-funded benefits are reserved for those who are legally eligible. Tennesseans first. No exceptions. #TNLEADS @CSexton25 @WilliamLamberth @JasonZacharyTN @repmarkcochran
