9/22/1995 – Yukla 27 - 24 American and Canadian Airmen tragically lost their lives when a flock of Canada geese struck a USAF E-3 Sentry during takeoff at JBER. The accident profoundly shaped the Bird Air Strike Hazard program. We honor their service, sacrifice, and memory.

One of the many cool things about the BluRay remaster is that it has 2D, 3D & 3D Anaglyphtic versions of the film and includes 3D glasses 🤓 as well. Modern OLED screens’ real blacks have the film looking better than it ever did. Cheers!

#TheRehearsal's Season 2 premiere reminded me of the great documentary "Charlie Victor Romeo". which also used the actual transcripts of real airline emergencies to recreate those events. Would highly recommend.

ALWAYS wear that belt! Be an active participant in your flight’s safety. The system is designed to protect passengers, it’s absolutely worth doing, every time.
Awful. It will take an investigation, but there are a couple things to keep in mind:
• We’re never worried about the aircraft – it can handle turbulence. We’re worried about you having a seatbelt on
• There is no real-world data indicating this is becoming more frequent, according to the NTSB

• Turbulence injuries & especially deaths remain very rare
• Pilots have some indications of impending turbulence, but the system is far from perfect & sometimes there is no warning at all
• FAs out in the aisle w/ a drink cart is the worst case scenario for suddenly encountering moderate or severe turbulence
• Many of us are aware that the seatbelt sign gets ignored & some of the reasons behind that. We’re partly responsible…it’s complicated, but keep your belt fastened anytime you’re seated!
In any event, someone lost their life & that’s a tragedy. Still, it’s nothing to start a panic over. We’re working to reduce turbulence injuries, but it may be a while before they can be eliminated, if ever
