Our partners need to apologize for rude e-mail responses regarding donations to the Charlottesville Police Foundation, which we recently saw on Twitter. (Thread)

We found e-mails from the Charlottesville Police Foundation asking for gift card donations for raffle prizes for Police Officers at their annual banquet, and we suspect most restaurants on the CPF donor list were donating gift cards in response to that e-mail.

Commonwealth Skybar has closed, but the partners would like to donate $5,000 to ‘City of Promise’, an organization making an impact on Charlottesville’s youth since 2012. On behalf of Commonwealth Skybar, we apologize again, and we thank you for bringing this to our attention.

If you like chicken thighs, Commonwealth Restaurant & Skybar is serving roasted ones over collards with potlikker and grits. Phone was on the fritz, so no photo. But, it's one heckuva dish.
