I shared a few thoughts on the new leadership at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and how it will have to navigate the fact that central banks are increasingly becoming geoeconomic actors in this article by @TheBanker

This is quite remarkable. The BIS leaves the most advanced cross-border CBDC project. mBridge replaces correspondent banks and SWIFT with a corridor network (mBridge) for cross-border payments, establishing direct payment relations between China, UAE, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
