"Call Her Daddy" host Alex Cooper explains why Taylor Swift’s situationship with Matty Healy may have inspired some of her most emotional songs and why situationships hurt so much. Alex Cooper: “Taylor dated Joe for what we can understand as years, right? But all of her songs from what we can gather on The Tortured Poets Department were about Matty Healy, a situationship.” “If Taylor is going through it, so can we.” “With a situationship, it is totally flipped. It's all about the fantasy and possibility with none of the reality.” “You're not mourning this person. This person didn't want to be with you. This person probably actually sucks.” “What you're mourning is all the ways that you have built him up in your head.” “The fantasy relationship will always be better than the real one every single damn time.”
