Special thanks to @ksteng12 for being not only a fab player, but also for being an absolute star with the children today 👏👏
Huge thank you to @LFCFoundation @LiverpoolFCW for their kindness today. An incredible example of empowerment demonstrated to those who use our service. Well done to all the team, and the foundation, you are amazing! See you next season!
A councillor all areas should aspire to have. One that understands the origins of abuse and the actual impact. One that embraces survivor experiences. One that understands the best outcomes for survivors is served by independent support. Elected official goals 😍

Whether they know or not. These women put a gentle hand of support on mine & the sectors back this year @centreWJ @Yassica_J @K_IngalaSmith @FarahNazeer @clairethrossell @Teresa_PS @LizzyDobres @Rachel_SUTDA @lucyrosehadley @CountDeadWomen @IsabellaLowLi #InternationalWomensDay
Absolutely.
Responding in the same way and expecting a different outcome, only seeing abuse that is reported to police, not looking at actual need means leaders and decision makers locally and nationally are blind to reality and risk.
I don't use phrases like national emergency lightly
The most frequent reason women are murdered is because #DomesticAbuse. Many people have seen it as an emergency for a long time.
We need action + leadership now across police, Govt + other agencies

Sal Naseem said there were no opportunities to stop Carrick yet to the untrained eye it’s obvious there were MANY opportunities to join up his offending behaviour including not recruiting a bloke with a history of domestic abuse. Also perhaps the 2002 offence was another
"Sickened, appalled, sorry"
Heard it all before, and then before that. The collective groan of the sector/women when same old is said but nothing actually meaningful done. All goes quiet when the News does.
The govt should do something meaningful. But.. news.sky.com/story/metropoli…

Knowing the need is at its greatest-knowing you have to make choices that can lead to increased risk goes completely against why anyone goes into this sector. There is no more time for some. The evidence of need is clear. Who is going to listen? @womensaid @KnowsleyNhoods
❤️ One of our brave survivors got the opportunity to talk about her experiences and the difference having access to a voluntary, specialist DA service, made to her life

Domestic Abuse victims are taking their own lives. A coroner's court can see the link. When will the government acknowledging this? I used my voice as an MYP to demand action and amplify Phyllis Daly's campaign. @RishiSunak @JusticeGap @Emilytest12 @jamiemroberton @Hopetraining
