#WesternSahara: NW coast of Africa, between #Morocco and #Mauritania. The long red line is, depending on the PoV, either “The First Line of Defense” (by those who built it, and planted landmines) or, as said, the “Wall of Shame”. Everybody actually calls it the “Berm”. Simpler.
I must add one thing: the “Wall of Shame” — of course the UN (nor I) gave it that name. Its purpose is to both defend the land occupied by the invader, and prevent the native population from returning to the land they has to flee.

Can anyone think of any other invading army building a wall the whole length of the #Territory to keep out the native population does not come back? The “name” is not my doing. But it does call attention to “The Question of #WesternSahara”, on the UN’s agenda for decades.
