When families join our international schools, have we clarified our shared values before taking the $$? Yes all children are welcome. Are all beliefs welcome at our schools? How have we, as school leaders, practiced responding to conflicting family values? @WilkesEdD @bmackesy

A routine to promote sense making is As Close As It Gets, where you don't have to solve the problem, just choose the answer that is the closest.
How will your students answer?

First step in creating a culture of belonging at work? Be polite! Greet your people, say please and thank you. Marginalized community members report fewer "pleasant" interactions through the school day. Kindness matters. @WilkesEdD @bmackesy gse.harvard.edu/ideas/edcast…

Every time I see a grown adult drink a full glass of milk on tv I have to take a walk. It’s too much, man.
Community means everybody. ❤️ #thisisICS @icsaddises
EY2 children, ICS gardeners, and cleaners participating in mutual respect as they work and play alongside each other. What if we noticed and acknowledged our community workers like our children did? What can our world learn from our youngest learners @ICSAddis #earlyyears

At a school I've never been at before today. Some things I LOVE:
PE class has roller skates.
Instead of "specials", art, music, pe, and library are called "essentials". Big fan. The arts, movement, and humanities are indeed essential.
In case you needed any faith in humanity restored 🐕 ❤️ We love our rescue dog #indog #AdoptDontShop
