Jia Sarnicola and Zuri Copeland believe they are twins.
An older kid told them they couldn't be twins because they don't have the same skin color...Jia broke down and said, "You don't know what you are talking about... we are twins because we share the same soul."

I spent a day with David McKee last year; at one point he said to me: ‘People make the mistake of assuming that picture books are for children. They are not. They are for the space that children and adults occupy together. They are the only books both adults and children read.

Closures at #Dawlish are only going to become more frequent as sea levels rise. It seems likely even a planned causeway is still going to get overwashed - that's why we must reopen Okehampton-Bere Alston as a diversionary route to keep Plymouth and Cornwall connected.

"A book is not a learning resource. It's the knife that picks the lock of your isolation. It's a box of delights." The wonderful and wise words of @frankcottrell_b
The London Olympics Opening Ceremony was 6 years ago today. Stop what you’re doing. Turn everything off. Make a cup of tea. Sit down quietly and read this from @frankcottrell_b. You’re welcome. X theguardian.com/music/2016/j…

This week, I’m traveling to Africa for the first time since I left office – a continent of wonderful diversity, thriving culture, and remarkable stories. As I prepare for this trip, I wanted to share a list of books that I’d recommend for summer reading: facebook.com/barackobama/pos…
