My first year not going to @Yankees stadium and I'm glad I didnt. If boone and cashman arent fired for next year then I dont know. Just speechless. Getting to the point where it's not smart to watch games consistently because you know October is the same. Just a waste of time

Same fucking shit every fucking year. @yankees

We gotta be in the top tier of corrupt governments man. Just invading, kidnapping, and stealing natural resources like nothing happened.
🇻🇪 The conflicting math on Venezuela’s “historic” oil deal: 🔸Acting President Delcy Rodríguez is touting a 25-year US oil agreement as a $209 billion windfall for the state, covering 17 fields with 65 billion barrels of proven reserves. But her numbers do not reconcile with the figures cited by U.S. officials. ▪️Rodríguez said Venezuela’s take would be about $19 per barrel (for health, education, and services). ▪️But $19 across 65 billion barrels would yield well over $1 trillion, not $209 billion. ▪️Her figures imply only about a sixth of that oil, roughly 11 billion barrels, would actually generate revenue for the state. 🔸The timeline is also murky. Rodríguez cited a 25-year plan publicly, but a US official told NPR and CBS the new company was granted a 100-year lease, with the US-aligned side holding a controlling 55 percent stake. 🔸 Acting President Delcy Rodríguez noted a 16% royalty and 34% corporate income tax on eight greenfield Orinoco blocks, which she said beat the “oil opening” of 30 years ago. ▪️ But measured against the recent past, the terms favor foreign operators. Venezuela raised Orinoco Belt royalties to 33.3% under Hugo Chávez in 2006 and taxed heavy-crude ventures at 50%. The new deal roughly halves the royalty and cuts the income tax to the general corporate rate of 34% — the break Bloomberg reported foreign investors were seeking earlier this year.

There’s an insidious attempt in elite media and the political discourse to insinuate that college-educated people working in non-physical-labor jobs and facing layoffs/affordability crises are not authentically “working class.” This is then used to denigrate their support of populist/DSA policies as merely the “champagne socialism” of entitled crybaby hippies. I see it differently. In general, these are folks who played by the rules, worked hard, and went into education debt not because they are elitist, but because they understandably believed the American Dream story fed to them by politicians and pop culture. It was a story that told them if they busted their asses and got themselves an education, things would work out — a story that has proven to be totally false in the era of oligarchy. If you don’t want to call these folks “working class,” fine, OK, whatever. But this cohort certainly shares many of the same class-based challenges as folks in blue-collar industries. So that shared set of challenges is creating a huge opportunity for a new cross-demographic solidarity and a new kind of anti-oligarch politics — which is exactly why you now see smug oligarch-paid pundits & politicians desperately trying to prevent that solidarity with these absurd and deliberately divisive narratives about champagne socialism.

Those people who didn't STFU about harassing Tim Walz over "Somalian fraud" sure are REAL FUCKING QUIET about Ron DeSantis stealing 10,000,000 from poor kids to defeat the vote to legalize weed.

Republicans lost their fucking minds when allegations emerged of Somali-American healthcare fraud in MN - but when Ron DeSantis & his wife stole $10M of taxpayer money meant for poor children’s healthcare & Ron rewarded his accomplices with promotions - the silence is deafening.

James Carville: “The thing Senator Schumer and presumptive Speaker Jeffries need to understand is every Democrat in the country thinks these people are a pile of treasonous felons. If you treat them as anything other than a pack of treasonous felons, Democrats are not going to like it and they’re gonna separate from you. These are rotten ass people who don’t give a shit about the United States. We’re not looking for backdoor deals with them at all. We don’t give a shit about them, we don’t like them, we think they all oughta have due process and equal protection and all be thrown in the motherfucking jail cause that’s what they deserve”

GAZA, 1989 "Behind me stands Ansar 2. A prison camp surrounded by barbed wire and armed guards. One of nearly a dozen camps holding 5,000 Palestinians." "Doctors. Lawyers. Children. Students. Journalists." "Most held without charge or trial. Labeled simply as 'security offenders.' All that is necessary under current administrative Israeli laws." A camera, a reporter, and a system that needed no evidence—just a label and a cage. That was 1989. Seen this tape before October 7—or only after? 🧭

#BREAKING: Psaki: “Last night, a local TV news station in Florida broke a story that just absolutely floored me. CBS News Miami obtained a sealed grand jury report…that detailed how Florida governor Ron Desantis’ administration allegedly diverted $10 million from a settlement that was supposed to give poor kids healthcare, and directed that money through a non profit affiliated with the governor’s wife, and then into political action committees aligned with Desantis himself, as well as to the Florida Republican Party, and then somehow a bunch of the people involved in making that happen, all wind up getting huge promotions from Governor Desantis.” 🙄

a lot of this frenzy cynically revolves around the bigoted idea that a muslim antizionist can’t possibly sincerely care about antisemitism no matter how much evidence there is to prove we do.
Pretty wild to see Dana Bash using the same exact same arguments as @hasanthehun while also accusing him of "[testing] the limits of the Democratic Party's big tent."

Just a month and a half ago Dana Bash said the same exact thing she's now condemning Hasan Piker for lmao
Dana Bash: "You may not have heard of left-wing streamer Hasan Piker until this year when Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed began campaigning with him." "Just a reminder, Piker has excused sexual violence from Hamas terrorists," Bash adds in passing.

James Carville: “What AIPAC doesn’t understand is a lot of people and a lot of Democrats can’t stand the current government of Israel and you can spend all the fucking money you want telling me they’re good and I’m not gonna ever believe it. The people that say that people that disagree with the policies of the government of Israel are antisemites are frankly full of shit and they need to be told that. You can’t have the kind of policies the government of Israel is engaged in and not expect that there’s gonna be pushback and backlash”

Everyone in media is asking candidates to denounce @hasanthehun because of things he has said. Yet they have never asked any candidate to denounce Benjamin Netanyahu, who has murdered 23,000 kids. This is supposed to the objective press?
