Just having fun with my portals and dropping objects through them! 🌀📦 Endless physics loops never get old. #gamedev #gameengine #indiedev #physics #portal

To boost the overall game feel and environmental impact, I implemented a camera shake system! 📳💥 Still tweaking the intensity curve, but it instantly adds weight to the scene. What do you think? #gamedev #indiedev #gameengine

Integrating portals into gameplay, supporting the player and rigidbodies! 🌀 Still a few bugs (the hardest ones) to fix, but it's starting to be really fun! 🚀 #gamedev #gameengine #indiedev #physics

After a short vacation, I decided to add portals (yes, like in the game Portal) to my C++ engine. 🌀 Still an early prototype, but it's a good start! 🚀 #gamedev #cpp #gameengine #indiedev #portal

The 3D viewer is taking a bit longer than expected, lots of C++ refactoring and cleanup, but I’m aiming for an October release! 🗓️ Since the last update, I revamped the titlebar, toolbar, fonts and added icons to the scene hierarchy. 🛠️ #gamedev #cpp #opensource #3D

Lately, I've been reviving an old project: a 3D viewer for FBX, OBJ, glTF & BVH. 🛠️ It supports hierarchies, geometries, skeletons, and animations. Mainly built with core classes from my custom engine. The prototype is working. On GitHub soon! 🚀 #gamedev #indiedev #gamedevtools

Added a shutdown effect to the CRT shader! 📺 Nothing hits like that classic electron beam collapsing when you turn off an old screen. And why not use it when turning it on, too? Does this bring back memories, or am I getting too old? 😂 #gamedev #indiedev #rendering #gameengine

Improved video playback on in-game monitors and TVs! 📺 Added a custom CRT shader that reveals individual subpixels when you step close to the screen. Is it too much overengineering or is it never enough? 🙈 #gamedev #indiedev #rendering #gameengine

To fix GI light leaks through walls, my engine's probe grid now uses a BVH of the level to trace rays, flagging leaking probes and skipping their baking! #gamedev #indiedev #rendering #gameengine

I postponed cubemap management in my engine for way too long, but I finally implemented it! ✨ The engine now supports multiple localized cubemaps, featuring parallax-corrected reflections and smooth blending transitions between them. #gamedev #indiedev #rendering #gameengine

Zoo level workflow update! Smoothed out the drag&drop system with a few UX improvements: - Anchor points to chain props (like pipes) - Highlight/darkening system for draggable objects - Separated translation/rotation gizmos for clarity #gamedev #indiedev #leveleditor #gameengine

I wasn't satisfied with my engine's shadows. There were too many artifacts (especially shadow acne and Peter Panning). So, I took the time to dig into some references to help me improve them. The result is so much cleaner and solid now!✨ #gamedev #indiedev #rendering #gameengine

To make an FPS feel alive, it needs more than just shooting enemies. It needs interactivity. 🎮 So I'm adding functional props to the world. ✨ Started with the classics: doors, a vending machine, a water dispenser, a light and a flare. #gamedev #indiedev #fps #gameplay

New editor feature to speed up level creation! 🛠️ Digging through the file hierarchy for specific props was too slow. So, I added the ability to open a "Zoo" level side-by-side and just drag & drop ready-to-use props into the main scene. 🏗️ #gamedev #indiedev #leveleditor
