Palace fans, I implore you to carve out time to read and digest this beautiful piece by @Teeserv2
We have our on-field challenges right now, but this presents the off-field issues (for us and wider English football) in a unique, well-researched way 👏

Whilst I don’t like it, I can understand the number of day trippers at home.
Really not impressed with the number when we’re away though!
Amazing how this whole City thing lands in the Sky Sports dead zone of 3 weeks with no rights to anything worth watching 😉
Can’t legislate for individuals errors, so let’s focus on Timber.
L&RCBs have been too narrow for months now, mainly because we have continually played Wharton & Kamada CMs, neither of which provide central solidity.
If Timber provides that, we will close off the channels more.
My word there’s some interesting takes on today, and by “interesting”, I mean totally 🦇 💩 crazy!

Of course there are loads of kinks to iron out both individually and collectively.
To start with you can’t press high AND maintain a back 5 as it makes it far too easy to break through and then runners are soon into the final third.
Given (I assume) UCL games are not included in a Season Ticket, it seems morally repugnant to punish someone by eroding the product that have bought because they didn’t buy another product!
I assume the small print allows this otherwise must be a trading standards issue.
We as a fanbase are so lucky to have so many of us so knowledgeable & proficient in the minutiae of football finances & transfer management.
I’m not sure how their Palace partisanship works with whichever clubs employ them, but at least they now have 4 months without concern 😉
Ah some welcome relief from the TDD crap - watching this as a 12 year old, this was massive. John Regis was such a gamble, but one that really paid off.
If you bring a load of emotion into your business decisions (yes, transfers are exactly that), then you end up with a model that everyone on here lamented 3+ years ago.
That is a very good deal for Munoz, even more so if it deals with the defamation claim, which we WON’T win!
On Khalaili:
1st half, a couple of misjudged dive ins defensively and appeared to lack a bit of conviction in the final 3rd, but…
2nd half, much better and a couple of those balls in were only lacking a CF that angled his run to the line of the near post.
Very interesting 🦅
There was some poor decision making with balls into the centre of midfield which gave easy turnover for most of their goals. That can be ironed out though.
There is more than enough there to tell me we’ll be alright against all but the top 6/7 teams, which is absolutely fine.
Somebody please explain to me what has happened in the last 12 months that sees a club pay (conservatively) a 43% increased fee for Liam Delap!!!
Let’s take the rose-tinted glasses off and keep in mind that Munoz of 2025/26 was far from that of 2024/25, so the next week’s (rumoured) activity might not be the most foolish.
For the love of God read this and just enjoy your bloody Summer!
