💬 “One of the most significant performances of my concert career.” Sviatoslav Vakarchuk On December 13 in #London, Sviatoslav #Vakarchuk performed at the legendary St Pancras International in support of the children’s hospital #Okhmatdyt in #Kharkiv. The charity Christmas concert, Ukrainian Carols of Hope, became the largest musical performance in the history of this location, gathering more than 1,000 listeners. Vakarchuk was the first Ukrainian artist to headline a concert within the Carolling for Causes program at one of Europe’s most iconic railway stations – a venue that has previously hosted Elton John, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Tom Odell, Jeff Goldblum and Norah Jones. The program included Ukrainian carols, global Christmas classics, and Vakarchuk’s own songs, performed with a chamber orchestra and the Likhtar Choir, with pianist Maria Yaremak also performing. The event was organised by @CampaignForUkr and Ukrainian Medical Charity, with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United Kingdom, to raise funds for the intensive care unit of the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kharkiv. Reflecting on the performance, Vakarchuk said: 💬“First, the program itself, Christmas carols, world classics, and my songs were unusual. Second, the wonderful partners. The Likhtar choir and orchestra – it was a pleasure to work with them.
