Just a reminder that a man convicted of first-degree murder escaped prison 2 days ago and still hasn't been re-captured.
In 1998 Mason Jenkins stole a gun, shot his sister 5 times, dragged her body down to the basement and had initially planned to kill both his parents as well.
He forged his parents wills to make himself the sole beneficiary.
His plan fell apart though when he learned his parents would be arriving home at the same time and he realized he would have little chance of killing them both with a single shot rifle.
Mason Jenkins is 49 years old, stands 175 cm (5β9β) tall and weighs 116 kg (256 lbs). He has a fair complexion, brown eyes and a shaved head.

Patrick Dombroskie, 63, who was convicted of first-degree murder after killing 3 of his co-workers in 1992 has been denied full parole.
He was granted day parole in March of 2026, but the parole board felt full parole was "premature" and "would present an undue risk to society if he reoffended"
So then the question is why was he granted day parole in the first place?
