Mikel Arteta might actually be the maddest football manager on the planet. 😂 This story from @SamJDean's recent book is absolutely incredible.. He once convinced his Arsenal players he could read their minds before a North London derby. 🧠 Ahead of their clash with Tottenham in 2022, he asked the whole squad to hide a small object inside one player’s shoe without telling him who had it. Arteta went outside the room with his coaching staff and waited for the player's to choose. Arteta then came in, studied their faces, stared into their eyes and even checked their pulses before correctly picking Gabriel as the culprit. The players were stunned. 😳 After Arsenal’s 3-1 win, he revealed his secret: he’d watched the whole thing on the hotel’s CCTV. 😭
