Diving into historic insider trading data this weekend.
If an insider at a <$500M market cap makes a large, unscheduled sale, that stock is - to put it delicately - fucked.

Very difficult to make money in a company that doesn't have revenue growth.
Oh you believe its NAV / price to book makes it so cheap??
Good luck waiting 5 years that it resorbs itself. Company fundamentals can decline in the meantime + opportunity cost of your money.
Some quarters will have no revenue growth and it happens, it's normal, but make sure you can clearly define it in a timeframe because otherwise the market will do the work of pricing no growth for years

Warren Buffett on the Lehman Brothers 2008 bankruptcy is the most Buffett story ever:
- He was vacationing in Alberta
- Lehman contacted his assistant for help
- Buffett said “send me a fax and how much”
- The fax never came but they left him a voicemail (he only found it one year later because he didn’t really use his flip phone)
Buffett probably would have said “no” anyways because Lehman asked him for help 6 months earlier in March 2008.
At the time, he printed out Lehman’s previous year 200-page annual report, marked it up with a pen and realized it was a steaming pile of shit and passed.

"When you find a genius, give them all power."
I've been obsessed with this idea for 12 months now.
I learned it from Munger but then saw all successful people apply it.
From Steve Jobs to Robert Oppenheimer.

Japan is the world's fourth largest economy. It is home to many high-tech companies that form critical parts of the global supply chain. Yet Japanese firms trade at multiples less than half of their US peers. Why?
We believe that the languishing of Japan's stock market has become a self-fulfilling prophecy, an example of anchoring bias writ large. The pervasive discounting of Japanese stocks is the largest bias we have yet uncovered.
