Thank you for reaching out, and we are so sorry to hear you are disappointed. Rest assured that the potatoes used are Russet Potatoes and will darken up as the crop season continues. With this product we do expect a variation in color.

As stated on the back of the bag, depending on the harvest time, the chips emerge from our kettle with a light to dark golden brown color. We hope the next load of harvested potatoes provide a darker chip.
