Cedric Coward going hard to convince Memphis Grizzlies front office to keep Ja Morant 💯👊🏾
Grizzlies rookie Cedric Coward on Ja Morant: "He hasn’t made the same mistake twice. But people still look at him the same. That’s ridiculous, in my eyes. But he’s one of the best people that I know personally." tinyurl.com/ynu3n9cm

Yes. He’s the most famous entertainer in history.
All of the entertainers you mentioned can sit courtside at a NBA game. Michael Jackson could not. @MagicJohnson told the story of how he invited MJ to a Lakers game and it created so much chaos, they had to stop the game. MJ had to leave because fans were leaving their seats to try to get to him.
None of the people you mentioned have that level of fame where they can’t attend public events.

“The day job is your first investor”
I worked at Red Lobster for years while building FUBU.
Not because I didn’t believe in my dreams. Because it was smart.
That job:
- Taught me sales and inventory
- Paid my bills
- Bought fabric and materials for my business
People don’t realize it, but sometimes the day job is your first investor. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t have the means to quit your job right away. Use it as fuel for your dreams and goals. Build slow if you have to.

Salute to DB
I agree with most of this but I don’t think the Grizzlies threw him under the bus - they just didn’t want to and really couldn’t sign him at the amount he was expecting and ultimately got in Houston
He needed to get away and it wasn’t going to happen for him here. That summer after getting traded locked him in and he needed that relationship with Ime.
Coming here as a rookie on a tanking team warped his path here but I’m glad to see his development after he moved on
Just a reminder that last season the Houston Rockets were the #2 seed with Dillon Brooks & the Phoenix Suns were the 11th seed with Kevin Durant. Shoutout to Dillon Brooks, The Villain, for changing the narrative of his career after the awful offseason when he was the butt of jokes on this app after the Grizz front office & head coach threw him under the bus after that Lakers series. He embarrassed Steve Kerr and Team USA in FIBA that offseason and he's currently playing the best ball of his life. Shoutout to him for being himself unapologetically and never trying to be fake friends with anyone in the league while never bowing down and kissing the ass of the most popular guys in the league.
