specifically WADA IS perfectly happy to make a statistical determination of doping across points within individuals … but NOT willing to apply the same math at the system level …

Kenya you never got a national level sanction because WADA is designed to be blind to systems … in favor of making periodic sacrificial offerings of individuals that are products systems …

And look at the substance … good old fashion EPO. Remember that country H was known about a long long time ago. But they are still popping the athletes once in a while one by one by one. It’s a system problem without a system approach to handle it
Athletics Integrity Unit@aiu_athleticsOct 23
The AIU has provisionally suspended reigning World and former Olympic champion, Peres Jepchirchir, after an out-of-competition sample, collected in Kenya prior to her recent Sydney Marathon victory, returned an adverse analytical finding for EPO. 1/2

Counterpoint: Flying cars will kill a lot of douchebags
Paul Saladino, MD

I don't want flying cars. I want rivers and ocean I can swim in with friends. I want food that isn't full of toxic chemicals and clean soil to grow it in. I want raw nature and wilderness and places on the earth I can get lost without seeing another human. I want air that isn't "geoengineered" and polluted. Science is cool. Technological advancement is cool, but I don't think this makes us happier as humans. Real human connection and clean, natural food lead to happiness. This I know. Flying cars? I'm not sure. Maybe I am a troglodyte...

So I’m at that point in my career where I did zero work (other than treating the patient) on a case report and got included as an author. Out of curiosity I looked up the journal impact factor and it’s 0.23 … I didn’t know it could go that low

Would a practitioner of polysemy be a polysem or polysemist?
Merriam-Webster
@MerriamWebsterSep 4
A 'polysemous' word is a word that has multiple meanings. go [=travel in a direction] as in "go straight" go [=lead] as in "the door goes to the cellar" 'Set,' 'run,' and 'have' are some of the more polysemous of our words.
