DeFi data is becoming a lot more than just BTC/USD or token prices. As more assets move on-chain and new vaults, markets, and tokenized assets emerge, the need for reliable, curated data becomes even more important. The next phase of DeFi needs better data infrastructure. @OasisProtocol oasis-network:native

The line that stuck: payments are an engineering problem. Identity is a trust problem. Agents can already discover a service and pay over x402. What a bank, merchant or regulator still cannot see from that payment alone is who authorised the agent and who answers if it goes wrong. That is the gap Concordium’s CEO walks through with @paulbarron. Verified owner at the protocol level, personal data stays off-chain, badge means accountable not endorsed. @Concordium @BBilowitzki concordium:native
“Payments are an engineering problem. Identity is a trust problem.” Our CEO, @BBilowitzki, joins @paulbarron to unpack one of the biggest challenges facing the agentic economy. AI agents, x402, ERC-8004, privacy, and the role Concordium plays in bringing accountability on-chain. 🎙️ Full interview 👇 youtu.be/Ojq4P8EBlfg

Town Hall #6 closed on a sequence Concordium has been building toward for years. Verified humans first. That rule has been in place since mainnet: every account needs a verified person or business behind it, checked by an independent Identity Provider, with identity revealable only under due legal process. Verified payments followed. Verified agents arrived in 2026 with the Agent Registry and the badge. The stated next step is trusted agentic commerce in 2027. The numbers shared on the call show the agent layer is already in use. Registered agents reached 5,040. Agent-related transactions rose 47 times to more than 738,000. Six platforms now read the registry. The Verified by Concordium badge works across more than 200 chains, and XDC AI made Concordium its exclusive identity verification layer. Agents do not have to move. A counterparty can still check that a verified owner stands behind them. The owner’s personal data stays off-chain. The badge means accountable, not endorsed. What was lined up for the months ahead follows the same path. EURQ, a MiCA-licensed euro from Quantoz Payments, is on testnet with mainnet targeted for December. 75 million concordium:native is set aside for builders who make AI agents accountable, invite-led so it follows working products. Protocol-Level Locks go to public testnet in mid-December and mainnet in January, so funds can be held and released only when the job is done. The hour was not a product launch. It was a clear statement of where the work sits: agents can already pay. The missing piece for institutions is still who answers for them. That is the layer Concordium built before the agentic economy arrived. Recap: concordium.com/article/conco… @Concordium

1/ On most blockchains anyone can read any contract for free. That works when everything inside is meant to be public. A confidential contract has a harder job. Before it can show a private balance or a private position, it needs to know who is asking. @OasisProtocol

7/ The same pattern matters outside balances. Private positions. Private preferences. Private agent instructions. Any value that should not be readable by the whole network. If the system cannot confirm who is asking, it should not answer.

8/ A short test for any private application: Before it shows you something sensitive, does it check a signature, or does it just trust the address you typed? If the answer is the second one, the privacy is thinner than it looks. oasis.net @OasisProtocol

Privacy Talks #8 is out: Harvest Now, Decrypt Later. This episode covers Meta’s $25 billion privacy ruling, AI agents slipping out of test environments, a voluntary AI accord with no penalties, the $388 million Bitget hack, Revolut’s outage, PHP remote code execution bugs, and Europol’s warning on Bitcoin wallets that future quantum computers could put at risk. It also looks at the idea that encrypted traffic can be stored today and read later once technology advances. Town Hall #6 drew a line that is easy to miss if you only watch the agent count. Concordium is not trying to pull every agent onto its own chain. The stated aim is to verify the agents that already run on other chains. XDC AI made Concordium its exclusive identity verification layer on 15 October. The Verified by Concordium badge shows on 8004scan across more than 200 chains. AITECH’s Agent Forge puts a verified human behind every agent it hosts. The agent keeps its wallet, its code and its payments where they already are. What gets added is a checkable link to a verified owner. No name, document or photograph goes on-chain. The badge means accountable, not endorsed. It does not review the agent’s code or approve its use case. That is why the live demo could show an agent listed on XDC AI, a badge on 8004scan, and an x402 payment landing on CCDScan in about a minute. A sponsor covered the network fee, so the agent never held $CCD, but the fee still settled in it. The agent did not have to move. The proof of an owner did. The same session noted that several other chains are in advanced conversations to follow the XDC model. They will be named when they sign. Until then, the working example is already public: an agent can pay on one network and still let a counterparty confirm that a verified person or business stands behind it. Town Hall #6 made one distinction clearer than the registration numbers do. Agents can already search, compare, buy and pay. Coinbase, Google, OpenAI with Stripe, Mastercard and Visa have all shipped ways for them to move money. What none of those payment rails answer is the question a bank, a merchant or a regulator asks next: who authorised this agent, can the payment be audited, and is there an accountable human or business behind it? That is the gap Concordium’s CEO walked through on 28 October. Every account on the chain has required a verified person or business since mainnet, checked by an independent Identity Provider, with identity revealable only under due legal process. The Agent Registry extends the same rule to agents. A counterparty can confirm a verified owner stands behind the agent. The owner’s personal details stay off-chain. The badge means accountable, not endorsed. It does not review the agent’s code or approve its use case. The live demo showed how the pieces sit together. A research agent listed on XDC AI, owner verified once, badge visible on 8004scan, payment over x402 landing on CCDScan. A sponsor covered the network fee through sponsored transactions, so the agent never held concordium:native, but the fee still settled in it. Identity, payment and the fee, in about a minute. What was announced for the months ahead follows the same logic. EURQ, a MiCA-licensed euro issued by Quantoz Payments and supervised by the Dutch central bank, is on Concordium testnet now, with mainnet targeted for December. It gives verified agents a regulated euro they can hold and pay with. 75 million concordium:native is set aside for builders who make AI agents accountable, invite-led so the money follows working products rather than pitch decks. Protocol-Level Locks, after CertiK review, go to public testnet in mid-December and mainnet in January, so the protocol itself can hold funds and release them only when the job is done. Since the July update the registry has grown to 5,040 registered agents, agent-related transactions are up 47 times to more than 738,000, and six platforms now read the registry. Those numbers matter only because each agent is tied to a verified owner account that a counterparty can check. Privacy Talks #7 is out. This episode looks at Frontier AI, the debate around slowing its development, and what recent security incidents at platforms like Revolut and Trezor show about how exposed digital accounts and assets can be. The through-line is simple: as AI moves faster and more responsibility shifts to users, privacy and security stop being optional extras. Privacy Talks #6 is out. The Oasis series keeps returning to the same practical question: what actually happens to your data once a system starts working with it. Not the policy page. Not the promise. The moment the data has to be readable so something can act. This episode continues that conversation across AI, crypto, and everyday tools. Worth the time whether you watch or listen. Watch: youtu.be/1akr1C7L4yI Listen: sptfy.in/g493 @OasisProtocol #PrivacyTalks #ROSE #OasisNetwork sptfy.in/g493

After the Agent Registry jumped past 3,800 agents and the Verified by @Concordium Badge went live on multiple platforms, this is the first chance to hear how the EMG team is thinking about what comes next, not just what already shipped. If you have been watching the numbers, this is where they get context. concordium:native
