If SU wanted to revamp and re-release the surface mode gameplay, they got the perfect setup now.
Since the raptures are gone, they could turn it into a more base building type of thing where you collect more resources as you explore to send back to the Ark.
I'm hoping that events going forward will start using the Ark on the surface as the setting. It opens up a lot of doors for different squads who were pretty much locked in to a specific role or type of work. They can be and do more or even change completely.
Scarlet being the only squad member to have no memory of both Andersen and Lilith really cemented how she was the odd man out of the Goddess squad again. Badass that she joined their ranks despite it.
Extra sad realization that Pathfinder squad would have been essential and flooded with more work than they could handle now that the Ark rose to the surface. If only they knew.
The concept of Johan and the Commander getting together to just hang out, and Johan actually agreeing to it.

Anis has gotta learn some real fighting techniques for CQC. Seems like it would be very useful for her since she uses her fists a lot, might have faired a bit better against Egovista.
