Story time: This video game came out today, and I took the day off to go get it. Before you judge me for that, let me explain. This is a remake of the defining video game of my childhood. I had an amazing childhood. Mama B and my dad saw to that. A home filled with love, discipline and safety. I don’t take it for granted, ever. When this game came out on Nintendo 64, it was probably the last time my brother, sister and me did something together, as children. My sister wasn’t much for playing, but she loved to read the walk through guide while my brother and I played. Not long after that, we all grew up and went our separate ways. Now, some 28 years later, they remade it. My sister is no longer with us, she passed in 2019, but my brother and I both went out and got it. Sorry for the long story, but this is my attempt to remember a wonderful childhood, that ended way too soon. Adulting can wait one day for me to be a kid again.
