As an artist you understand, there is something in the essence and aura of creative expression that informs and transcends all its manifestations – and when you actually touch it – it surely becomes pure magic!

When I was in grade school, I was asked by a nun at St. Joseph’s what beauty was. I was so intimidated by her I couldn’t describe it in words, so I started capturing it with an ink pen. It was the start of my creative journey.

Whenever I created a new piece, I’d spend hours creating ideas about what was possible from there.

Happy birthday to our very own Tom Paxton. What an impact his music has made in my life.

People become artists because they have a certain kind of energy to release.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary...Happy Halloween.

We can be in awe of music without inventing myths to explain it.

Mischief night here in the US. Young people engage in mild-to-moderate mischief, such as toilet-papering trees and houses ("TPing"), soaping car or store windows, egging properties, ringing doorbells (ding-dong-ditch), and smashing pumpkins.

I was taught the artist needs all the talent of a poet, plus hand-eye coordination. I have found that to be true.

Music has healing power. It has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours. I would like to thank all the wonderful music makers who changed my life.

It's a matter of simplifying. Practice removing extraneous ideas until you have only what's needed to express a simple thought. I work at this everyday.

I went through the whole music thing growing up. The swing era, the boogie woogie era, the bebop era. Of course the fifties Rock n’ Roll with Elvis, Buddy & Chuck. Then my favorite era, the sixties. Mick Jagger is still one of my favorites.
