See you tomorrow, @JCPSKY students and staff.
SCHOOLS OPEN THURSDAY | All JCPS schools and buildings will open and operate as normal on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025. Our crews tested the water and air quality at all of our schools and buildings today and everything came back normal. Louisville Metro Government officials have also informed us that it is safe to reopen schools. Our thoughts remain with all those affected by Tuesday’s tragic plane crash. We recognize that students may need extra support, and want to remind you that counseling and mental health teams are fully prepared at every school to assist. Please reach out directly to your school on Thursday if your child would like to talk with a staff member.

🍦 SWEET SUCCESS | What started as an early-morning hello turned into an ice cream celebration for a Blake Elementary School 4th grade class! Blake student Kingston met one of our JCPS police officers at a local gas station before school. The officer visited Kingston's class the next day and made a promise: good grades + good conduct = an ice cream party. The 4th graders at Blake Elementary delivered—and last week, JCPS police did too! 💙 #WeAreJCPS
