💔Harun represented the best of humanity in every way. Lucky we had him on this earth and in our team. My fave quote from him: "Each and every person here has huge potential. We just have to bring it out.”
It is very rare in life to meet people in whom intelligence, kindness, and humility all shine equally bright - and when you do, you never want to leave their side. Mr Harun Al-Rashid was one of those people. His work with the #CPP saved lives, and he inspired all who met him. 🕯
With the compound impacts of env. degradation, climate change and armed conflict threatening lives, health and livelihoods in the Middle East, we have to make adaptation work. It was a pleasure to present our upcoming @rodekorsnorge and @ICRC report with @norwayun at UNHQ in NYC.
Compounding impacts of environmental degradation, climate change & armed conflict have far-reaching implications for human security ⚠️
Thanks to all who came & participated in the 🇳🇴co-hosted preview of @ICRC & @rodekorsnorge's coming report on making climate adaption work 🙏

This year felt hot & dry? We need to become resilient to that. New @wxrisk study with @SISeneviratne @mkvaalst et al. shows climate change leaving fat fingerprints over northern hemisphere summer droughts worldweatherattribution.org/…
The road goes ever on and on... these lovely photos from the first 100 km of the @turistforening Saga route are for @prancingponypod hosts @ShawnEMarchese and @AlanSistoVO who were in my ear the whole way. No trolls or giants spotted, guess I have to take you to Jotunheim next.

Last month was statistically tied for the 5th warmest May on record globally (with 2018/2021) - @CopernicusECMWF analysis. There was quite a bit of variability over land regions & a clear La Niña signature remaining over the equatorial Pacific Ocean.
