At #ASP2023… arrived too early to check into AirBNB… students very impressed with my planning skills… time for some falafel.
Heading to the @pharmacognosy nat'l meeting? Do you support NSF-GRFP applicants? Let's chat at my poster about our work to fight the @NSF's severe, prolonged, and long-known bias for a small cadre of "elite" programs (see: science.org/content/article/…). That bias hasn't gone away...

ALT My pie chart breakdown of NSF GRFP awards from the most recent cycle by Current Institution. Looking at the 20 top schools and their over-representation amongst the funded awards. There has been no improvement in bias of the program for a small handful of well-funded programs. Compare that students currently at Harvard (including the Medical School and the School of Public Health) received 106 awards, while students from 117 programs were the only award from their program. "No Data" group is students for whom the NSF listed their current institution as blank. Data available from the NSF at: https://www.research.gov/grfp/AwardeeList.do?method=loadAwardeeList
