Amazing 2 days discussing the latest research at the @Soc_Endo Endocrine Metabolic GPCRs 2026 Meeting. Fantastic speakers from different angles: cell biology, physiology, drug discovery, etc. Icing on the cake was our very own PhD student Linda Wong winning the Best Poster Award!

I am delighted to report that our latest paper has now been published in Science Advances: science.org/doi/10.1126/scia… In this study, we generated and characterised a humanised GLP‑1R mouse model carrying the gain‑of‑function A316T variant using CRISPR/Cas9 knock‑in technology.

Our review is now out in JCI, where we discuss current evidence for the existence of GLP-1R–cAMP–PKA signalosomes at different subcellular locations, and the complexity of the GLP-1R spatiotemporal signaling architecture: jci.org/articles/view/194752

Fantastic collaboration with Sarah Rouse's team now published in: nature.com/articles/s42003-0… Here we map lipid binding sites for all 15 human class B1 GPCRs, revealing conserved lipid interaction dynamics patterns, and further examine the effect of GM3 on GLP-1R vs GIPR ECD opening.

Research led by Imperial (@TomasLab_ICL) has uncovered a hidden cellular mechanism that explains how widely used type 2 diabetes drugs signal to protect the pancreas, opening up new possibilities for improving future diabetes therapies. ⬇️ imperial.ac.uk/news/articles…

I am extremely pleased to announce that our paper is now published in Nature Communications. Here, we show for the first time that the GLP-1R signals from endosomes by forming contacts with the ER via the ER membrane contact site tethers VAPA and VAPB🧵 nature.com/articles/s41467-0…

Science doesn’t need to go according to plan; it just needs to lead to a discovery. If doesn’t have to be done alone or together with a buddy; there just needs to be a discovery. It doesn’t need to happen fast or slow; just as long as there’s a discovery, then everybody is happy.
